Summary: The Egypt Game
Review: I didn't really like the book at all it was horrible! It didnt have a good plot or characters. I definately do not give this book a good reveiw! On a scale 1-10, 10 being the best book ever and 1 being the worst book ever it deserves a 2 and that is me being extremely generous! Someone else may like it. If you like Egypt you may like this book but if you wanna learn about Egypt this book is not for you!!!!!!!! I mean really they call it the Egypt Game because it's about Egypt but you don't learn anything about Egypt! I hated this book so readers BEWARE!

Summary: The Egypt Game
Review: I hated this book because it was just so boring! Some parts in this book were interesting. The only reason I read this book is because I had to. I would never recommend this book to anyone. On a scale of 1-10, this book would earn an one. I had a very hard time keeping my interest in this book. This book is a horrible book!

Summary: The Egypt Game
Review: The Egypt Game starts when eleven-year-old April Hall moves to Orchard Avenue to live with her grandmother. She used to live in Los Angeles, and when she goes to meet Melanie Ross, also eleven, who lives in the same building, she pretends to be rich and fancy. But Melanie knows that she isn't, and soon the two girls become friends, mainly because of their shared interests, especially for Ancient Egypt. April and Melanie make up a game that they play in an old deserted storeyard, in which they pretend that they're Ancient Egyptians. They let Melanie's four-year-old brother, Marshall, play too, and soon Elizabeth Chung joins them, as well as two boys from April and Melanie's class, Ken and Toby. At first the game is just fun, but then some strange things start happening to the Egyptians. Should they leave Egypt and their game or keep on playing despite the dangers there seem to be there?

Summary: An okay story, but poor as a reference for Egypt
Review: In school, we had to read this as a background for studying Egypt, and even though it was a better homework assignment than worksheets, I didn't learn anything. The first chapter spent more time on eyelashes than plot or characters, and the information on Egypt basically consisted of what these kids thought up, elaborating on real research. But the idea was interesting enough for me--a fourth grader--to collect a few Egyptian-looking items, set up my own Egypt Game, and get a few extra credit points. Basically, it's a great idea, with mediocre research, characters and writing.

Summary: The Egypt Game
Review: This is a very good book. There is only one problem. The author keeps on doing flash backs. Other than that the author made it very suspensful. These 6 kids stumble upon the magic of ancient Egypt. After a kid gets murdered they can't return to the land of Egypt. Then when they return to Egypt they make a sacrifice to Set the god of evil. Then one of Egyptians get injured. Then the person whyo owns the place where they play gives them keys to Egypt.

Summary: Egypt game
Review: The Egypt Game is an exciting book. It has a murderer, who they can't catch until the end. It's mysterious. The toy owl they pretend is Thoth gives them a message after a member confesses to doing it at first. It shows more than one side of the story. First it has the Proffessor's view, then Aprils, then Toby's, and so on and so forth.

The Egypt Game is funny. One time they soaked a bird for the ceremony of the dead, and the bird got coated in scumm. Its location is in a storage yard behind a store. The coolest part about this book is that it was written based on something from real life

Summary: The Eygpt Game Reveiw
Review: The Eygpt Game is an awsome book! It's mysterious and suspenseful. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's such a good book that I'd recomend it anyone who likes to read. Especially if they like good books about mysteries and ancient Eygpt. Young or old it's a good book to read. It's got a great plot and a few neat twists. Even if you don't like to read this would be for you. It has interesting characters, such as a stuffed octupus named Secerity. You should definitly read it.

Summary: The Egypt Game
Review: This was a good book, even with some minor (and major) flaws. Basically, the premise is this: April Hall, a girl from a rich family is sent to her grandmother's while her mother goes on tour as a vocalist. She starts out, like the multitude of seemingly identical (at first) characters in a lot of books that often come from this sort of beginning, a snotty brat angry at the world for no good reason. Her grandmother attempts to make her socialize, and eventually she gives in and visits the apartment of the Rosses, a family of African Americans. She acts extremely snobby to their daughter, Melanie Ross, who eventually makes April quite a bit less snobby. In the Professor's, a man who runs an antique/junk shop, back yard, they discover several Egyptian looking objects. They are both very interested in Ancient Egypt, so they begin the Egypt Game. Eventually, Melanie's little brother, a new girl in fourth grade, and two prankster boys in their grade all become involved in the Egypt Game. These other four, while all of them are vital to the plot, are certainly not as vital as April, Melanie, and the Professor.

My only two issues with the book was the fact that a lot of it was spent with the children constantly living in fear of a murderer who remains at large for around ¾ of the novel (keep in mind that the murderer comes into play about ¼ of the way into the book, and that's up until extremely late in the book.)
Also, the fact that no character except April, Melanie and the Professor are very deep. The brother is childish, the girl not at all deep, and indeed almost never talked about, one prankster is perhaps right on the line, in my opinion, of becoming a major character; if he got just a bit more development, he would be. The other boy is the shallowest of all characters, as he is just'well'there. He's just an arrogant guy that does absolutely nothing and says 'Sheesh' a lot.

Summary: The Egypt Game
Review: For a school project every person in my grade had to read The Egypt Game. It is a boring little book that has too much content for it's own good. A couple times we had to read this in class I got in trouble for falling asleep. This book insults the intellegence of kids just learning to read. Don't waste your time or money on this book. If you don't beleive me check the book out of the library, but don't read it somewhere that if you fall asleep you might get hurt.
