Summary: What a book!!!
Review: I had to do a book report, so my friend recomended this book to me. I started reading it and it was pretty interesting. Then, all of a sudden, I couldn't put it down. The author has a talent of skipping the uninteresting parts and going right to the interesting. The plot is never routine and the charecters are hard not to love. It's basicly about some kids who band together to make a realistic Egypt. It seems like just some kids play game, but it turns into a way of life for the children.

Summary: The Best!!!
Review: The worst part of this book is where you finish it, and you have to move on with your life. Even though I'm way too old for this book, I can never just forget it. It's like the 'Thriller' of imagination books. It's just the best of it's kind! I'd strongly reccomend this book to anyone interested in Egypt. It gives good information, but doesn't let the facts keep the plot and characters from staying realistic. It's as if you become the "7th member" of the story, since it's so lifelike!!! Even if you're not into Egypt, this is still a great choice if you're in the market for an awesome book. I'm not going to talk about the plot or anything, because you should find out for yourself. That's the best way, and you WON'T be disappointed!

Summary: The Egypt Game
Review: The Egypt Game was a very well written book. The details were amzing- though the storyline was a bit weak. The author obviously put a lot of effort into writing this book. I would definitely reccomend the book because of the creativness and supense of it.

Summary: Imagination Games
Review: April's Hollywood mother sends her to live with her grandmother in California because she doesn't have time for her. She befriends Melanie and Marshall Ross along with his trusty stuffed octopus Security. One day they wander through a hole in the fence into the unkempt yard with a lean-to and an array of junk behind A-Z Antiques owned by an old mysterious man known as the professor. The discovery of a cracked chipped plaster bust of Nefertiti gives April an idea. April has a special interest in Egypt in fact she believes that she was a high priestess in a past life. They begin to play Egypt. Eventually Elizabeth Chung, a new resident in their building, joins them and finally Toby Alvillar and Ken Kamata, who attend the same school.

Their neighborhood suddenly becomes unsafe and the Egypt Game is in jeopardy after a girl is found murdered. A boy had been killed almost a year before. The neighbors suspect the professor because he keeps to himself and no one knows anything about him. The Children find themselves being forced to play indoors. While babysitting Marshall, April discovers that she'd left one of her schoolbooks in Egypt. When the two of them set out to retrieve it, April is snatched.

This book reminds me so much of my own childhood and the charms of our imaginations. I think this is a good read for people of all ages. The story encourages historical scholarship to aid in playtime activities and really the best way to learn is through a fun activity. A+ from this former history teacher!

Summary: Sketchy at Best
Review: Don't waste your money. This book assumes that you already know all about Egypt and are very excited about all the rites, objects of worship, etc. It also leaves a lot of the details of the game itself to the reader's imagination. This book is best for a teacher seeking ideas on how to set up a game for children to play after they've finished a unit on Egypt. Then again, it tries to incorporate a plot into the sketch of a game. ...

Summary: A Pointless Book
Review: I am a 6th grader when i've first read this book. At first i didn't know what in the world The Egypt Game and it was until that we had to read it for class. I have no particular interest in this book, but if for any, this book is written mainly for girls. I lost my insterest in this book in the beginning when i found out that the Egypt Game was to be a pretend game played by some girls and two "weird" boys. And the whole book is kind of just pointless, from the beginning when April had arrived the apartment to the end when the old man saved the kids. Anyway, in conclusion I don't recommend this book to anyone, especially boys.

Summary: The Egypt Game
Review: Title: The Egypt Game

The Egypt Game is about a group of kids playing a made-up game. Those interesting kids are April, Toby, Elizabeth, Marshall, Melonie, and Ken. They made secret codes, had ceremonies, and a great adventure together. Many great mysteries occur that has something to do with the Egypt game, but at the end there were explanations.

There was one thing I didn't really like about this story. When April got attacked by a clerk, it was a little off topic. "The redheaded man had admitted everything." A stockboy, also described as a redheaded man, attacking a kid had nothing to do with the Egypt game! Well, there were also some good parts in The Egypt Game.

I liked this book because of all the mysteries, and how all of the answers to those were completely different from my predictions. "There were accusations and counteraccusations, but no one would admit to writing the mysterious and puzzling words that straggled across the back of Ken's question." My predictions were something about a mysterious Egypt spirit. The real answer was that the Professer had been writing all those. It was really fascinating.

My favorite part of the story was all in the ending. That was the part where the author revealed all the solutions to the mysteries. It was very fun to find out about the things I was questioning about. If you love reading about great adventures and mysteries, The Egypt Game is the right book for you.
