Rating: Summary: A real Page Tuner Review: I must say this was one of Nora's best yet. I could not put it down. I loved the mix of romance and mystery. This one keeps you spell bound till the last page. Hats off to Nora for another wonderfull story.
Rating: Summary: Couldn't put it down! Review: Awesome book Nora, I just love how it mixes romance and suspence. Definately a winner!
Rating: Summary: Formulaic Review: With this book, my love of Nora Robert's books began to erode. The characters seemed stereotypical- this is the serious, responsible one, this is the beautiful, sexually promiscuous one, etc. The violence did bother me, and it was difficult for me to accept the motion of the old killer and the new killer. Nora Roberts had been a long, long time favorite, but after reading Montana Sky, Sanctuary, Homeport, River's End, I have found my enjoyment decreasing. Sorry to say, I am moving on to different authors.
Rating: Summary: excellent and exciting book Review: I'm a junior in high school and after reading this book for my vocabulary class(we picked our own books)I really liked it. I couldn't put the book down even though I was supposed to only read it for two days a week I finished it early. I don't like to read books with too much gore but this book didn't draw the actually deed out but the sense of injustice that it should and did make the reader feel towards the killer. The language is a big part of the book but it was said in local context and is not as vulgar as listening to a little boy or girl at 12 saying the exact same thing with ease. Overall I really liked the book with the descriptive scenery and overall message the book give.
Rating: Summary: I was disappointed with this book and didn't complete it Review: The violence in this book was a turn off. The animal mutilation was more than I could stomach. I was very disappointed with Ms. Roberts and wondered if she was trying to present herself as a harder-grittier writer.A word of advice, Ms. Roberts? Stick to what you know. I threw the book away -- something I NEVER do!
Rating: Summary: Breath taking suspense at it's Best!!! Review: I just recently started reading Nora Roberts novels and have been truely please with each one. Montana Sky kept me on the edge of my seat, turning pages and I could not put this one down. If you love mystery and suspense along with Romance you must read this one.
Rating: Summary: ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Review: Nora Roberts has done it again with MONTANA SKY. This is the story of three sisters brought together for the first time by their father's death. Each born from a different marriage, the sisters know nothing of one another, but are forced by their father's will to spend one year together on his ranch, Mercy, in order to receive their inheritance. We meet Willa, the only daughter who knew her bastard of a father, who was raised on the ranch. She immediately bucks heads with the oldest of the sisters, Tess, a sophisticated writer bent on receiving every penny she's entitled to even if she has to swallow her dignity and stay on the ranch. Then there's Lily, a shy and kind woman on the run from her violent ex-husband. We also meet the three gorgeous men who will change their lives, Ben, a man just as stubborn as the woman he wants which is Willa, Nate, the family's lawyer who's decided to make Tess his and gentle Adam, Willa's half-brother, who wants to free Lily from her past. Their lives are complicated even further when violent things begin to happen, first mutilated animals, then mutilated people. As the sisters begin to bond with each other and with the men in their lives, a killer is on the lose waiting to strike. MONTANA SKY is a fantastic read filled with suspense, murder, and three passionate loves. This book is worth your time and money. You'll love it. Trust me!
Rating: Summary: Great Book. Couldn't Put It Down Review: Montana Sky is a great book. It keeps you on the edge of your seat while showing you how three sisters (who know nothing of each other) can bond and work out differences. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. Ms. Roberts has done it again. I'm a faithful fan of her's for years and I will always be.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Review: Lovely plot..... Great theme and very well potrayed. A great author and it shows in every sentence. Gory and terrorizing murders, tender love scenes and family relations that touch you and make you laugh. All in all, a great read!
Rating: Summary: Nora, what were you thinking?!! Review: Having thoroughly enjoyed half a dozen of Nora's books, I was quite excited to read this one, too. What a disappointment!! Too much profanity (4-letter words show such a lack of imagination) and WAY too many detailed, gory descriptions of the murderer's slashing of animals and characters. First book I've tossed out before finishing in years!! Fortunately, I gave Nora another chance and the next one of hers I read was terrific!! This one is definitely NOT A KEEPER--and quite out of character for a Nora Roberts novel! If there were a choice lower than a 1 star rating, I would have selected that.
