Rating: Summary: I was hooked after 3 pages! Review: There is only one problem with Folsom's international thriller. Once you read it, ever other book in this genre will pale in comparison. I read the book when it was first published in 1994 and I can't understand why John Grisham was at the top of the best seller list and Folsom wasn't. The plot is all over the place and you're just sure it can't get any more exciting and then another element of surprise is thrown into the mix. Make sure you take the book with you to the grocery store and any other place you have to wait in line - you'll want to spend every free minute reading. Folsom holds you captive until the very end.My only criticism of the work is the ending feels a bit rushed. 400 plus pages of action come to a dramatic climax in three pages. If you're one of those people who read the last page of a book first, then don't even bother to start it. Bottom line, I have spent the past 4 years looking for a novel as thrilling as this one and have yet to find one.
Rating: Summary: ANYTHING BETTER I WON`T READ IT! Review: LET ME GIVE YOU AN ADVICE, IF YOU WANT TO KEEP READING FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, DO NOT READ THIS BOOK, IT WILL PREVAIL IN YOUR MIND AS THE LAST BOOK YOU`VE READ, SUPERIOR QUALITY AND ULTRA-DETAILED PANORAMA, I READ THIS BOOK ON MY TRIP TO EUROPE, WHERE THE STORY DEVELOPES, SO THIS MADE IT A-REAL-LIFE-JOURNEY. SIMPLY THE BEST OF ALLAN
Rating: Summary: This is one of the best page turners that I have ever read! Review: The Day After Tomorrow is one of my favorite books! My husband, Mother, Sister, and Brother all loved this book as much as I did! I read this book in 1995, and am anxiously awaiting Allan Folsom's next book ( which I hope will be equally as good). This would make a fantastic movie.
Rating: Summary: BRILLIANT AND SPELLBINDING!!! Review: This is a sorry-mom-I'll-take-breakfast-later book. From the riveting beginning to the surprise ending, Folsom entangles you with conspiracy, treason, murder, revenge, intrigue...and more. Let me tell you the last two words of the book made my body shake, and left me thinking about it the whole vacations. Once you begin, you'll hope it never ends.
Rating: Summary: Gripping! I literally couldn't put it down! Review: Ditto to review #1. The plot is outstanding. The book switches between one and two scenes seamlessly. Once you begin to eat up one scene, the book will continue with another, which is just as good as the first. It should certainly be made into a movie. If Mr. Folsom's next book is only 1/100 as good as this, then another great book is going to await readers of all types!
Rating: Summary: explosive! Could not put it down. Review: This book trapped me. As one scenario blends into the next, you shake your head and wonder where you're going. I literally sat with my jam hanging open at the end. Apparently this is a first novel but I keep asking, where is the next!
Rating: Summary: Quite simply one of the top ten books I have ever read. Review: This book grabbed me from the very first page and wouldn't let go. I thought the book was ending only 200 pages in because the action was so climactic. I thought, "where can it go from here?"...and when it does go, it blows you away. I advise all my frineds to read the last page line by line with a card covering the next line so they don't jump ahead...otherwise the incredible ending might be ruined.
Rating: Summary: WOW Review: What more can I say. The first sentence had me hooked. Let's just hope that this screen writer can transform this work of art into a great award winning movie.
Rating: Summary: The Most Gripping Book I've Ever Read Review: This is one book I wish I could start over again and not know anything about it. While the plot is unrealistic, there is an inventive mind to work up such a theory.
Rating: Summary: Great characters and plot in an all too realistic story Review: Folsom is an absolute genius who has written a powerful story of action, suspense, love, and mystery. From the opening pages to the very end the reader can't rest until they see what's on the next page.Paul and Vera are lovers caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.Things only get more interesting when Paul is drawn into the worldwide police operation with McVey and Interpol.Who was Henri Kanarack and why was Paul so curious about Albert Merriman? Why was Elton Lybarger sent to America for physical therapy? Will Mcvey and Paul survive long enough to make sense of the discreet mayhem? These are only some of the questions that haunt the reader throughout this brilliantly written epic thriller.
