Review: I read Abide With Me in 2 days...it was the best out of all 5 of his books...it summed up all the characters...I couldn't put the book down...I read it almost all day and all night...Thumbs up for E. Lynn Harris...he outdid himself this time!

Summary: Great book - promising end to a new beginning....
Review: I view this series as work in progress. I loved meeting the familiar characters again - as well as the introduction of Ava and Yancey and the continuing exploits of Basil. I don't believe this is the end. E. Lynn can't possibly leave us hanging like this. I feel another novel already in the works and I know it has to be called Listen To The Snow as eluded to in the final chapter. If I'm mistaken, I thank E. Lynn Harris for what he gave us from Invisible Life through to Abide with Me. My imagination will fill in the remainder of the storyline... If nothing else, E. Lynn has taught us how to do this.

Summary: A new fan
Review: E. Lynn Harris's "Invisible Life" is the one to start with. I literally couldn't put it down. I mean, I'd finally let it drop out of my hand, only to pick it right back up. It went like a roller coaster ride! I am waiting for "Just As I Am" to come from the library, then I'll do "Abide With Me." I can hardly wait. There was an exotic quality to "Invisible Life" - it was fresh and new and odd, with a unique style that seemed - un-literary, and yet compelling. That is exciting, because so much of what you read now sounds the same. E. Lynn Harris is a very good writer!

Review: This was my first book of mr. Harris that I have read, and I very much enjoyed reading it. I will continue to read mr. harris books from here on out. Keep up the good work.

Summary: Very good reading....hard to put down!!
Review: I had to read a couple of E. Lynn Harris's books before I could truly get into them. Once I did, there was no stopping me. Abide with me dealt w ith many issues including infidelity coming to light. It is true he has many gay issues in his books but love is love no matter who it is between. This books deals with couples and the problems they have to deal with. I enjoyed this book better than the others he has written. He always leaves the ending as an opening for another book which I hope will come out soon.

Review: Once again E. Lynn Harris has written a wonderful novel. Abide With Me is the partial closing of a wonderful community of family, friends, love and hate. This book kept me wanting more. Wonderful, just Wonderful...everyone should read this novel.

Review: I FOUND THIS TO BE A GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT. I AM BIG FAN OF E.LYNN HARRIS AND I FOUND HIS BOOKS TO BE ENTERTAINING, INFORMATIVE, AND THOUGHT PROVOKING. HOWEVER, ABIDE WITH ME WAS A BIG BUST. I FELT THAT E. LYNN LEFT US HANGING. FOR INSTANCE WE NEVER KNOW WHAT REALLY GOES DOWN WITH TRENT AND RAYMOND. ALSO IS NICOLE AN AIRHEAD. I MEAN SHE NEVER REALLY CONFRONTS SHELBY FOR ALL THE ROTTEN THINGS SHE DOES. AND WE NEVER SEE SHELBY'S MOTHER CONFRONT NICOLE AT ALL. BASIL NEVER REALLY GET HIMSELF TOGETHER. HE STILL HAS ISSUES THAT HE WILL NOT REALLY FACE. HE NEVER ANSWERS THE QUESTION IF HE REALLY LOVES RAYMOND.(WHICH I REALLY THINK HE DOES) I FEEL THAT THIS BOOK COULD HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED MORE. NEVERTHELESS, I AM LOOKING FOWARD TO THE NEXT BOOK, BECAUSE I WILL ALWAYS BE A FAN OF E.LYNN'S.

Summary: E. Lynn Harris Just Keeps It Going
Review: Fast-paced reading like the rest. And of course some of the same characters are back. You must read Harris' four books, in order, from beginning to end. You'll feel like a friend of the family. Harris has downplayed the, sometimes explicit, descriptions of love making in this particular novel.

Review: I read this one in record time 2 or 3 days, then loaned it to a friend who read it in 2 also. Just as all the other Harris readers that Basil character was too much again. If you're looking for a good read this one is a must.

Review: I have read four of Harris' novels. Each novel helped me make difficult decisions in life. He helped me to realized that there are other people out there just like me. I've read other comments from customer like myself. One person stated that one novel was sloppy. I have to disagree with that person. I haven't read any sloppy novels by Harris. I wish E. Lynn Harris continued success in the future.
