Review: I listened to this tape series about two years ago before it was published nation wide. A friend of mine had met Bob Bew and had gotten a copy of the series before it was published. The tapes changed my way of thinking, my feelings, my walk with Christ, and my life. Bob explores what it means to be "in Christ"-- a phrase that is used often in the New Testament but seldom explored. The message is profound. The meaning is powerful.

The basic idea is this-- when a person believes in Christ, a new identity is born. God sees the new identity in the person and not the old identity. That new identity that God sees is Christ dwelling in us and us dwelling in Christ. Jesus said "if you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and you will receive it." In other words, when we relate to God, it has to be Christ relating to God through us. When we walk in the fullness of the new identity, we walk with victory, with spiritual energy, with joy, with peace, with complete strength.

This is a great tape series. Anybody who feels weak and washed out in the faith absolutely has to listen to it. This is life changing stuff.

Review: Secret Energy: The Soul at Rest in Christ helped me in more ways than I can list but the most important one has to be that it is helping me get to a place of greater consistency in my walk with Christ. Most Christians go through highs and lows, ups and downs, and Secret Energy is helping me break that cycle and stay strong in the Lord. The cycle of sin, guilt, and defeat paralyzes the walk of many Christians, and Secret Energy puts forth several key concepts on how to break that cycle.

It starts with understanding how God sees us at all times-- that is, he sees us in Christ-- Christ is, so to speak, the lense through which God views us. Our identity is taken up in Christ's identity.

This is a great series, and I am recommending to everyone who would like more victory in their walk with Christ.

Before I heard these tapes, I was feeling empty inside-- I felt like my spiritual life was not going anywhere. I felt stagnant. The tapes introduced me to what it means to dwell where Christ dwells, to dwell in power, to dwell in victory. We don't have to live as defeated. We can be victorious in Jesus.
