Summary: A FAST PACED, FIRST RATE THRILLER!!!
Review: this is my first deaver book, and if the rest are as good as this one, i'll be a fan for life! the book has one of the most shocking endings i've ever read!it's a pleasure to read and just screams tobe made into a movie. PLEASE give us a sequel!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: page turning thriller that keeps you there till the end.
Review: this is one of those great reads that has a turn and drama every step of the way. you will finish this book and be impressed with the ending. it wont leave you asking questions, or wondering about who, when, why and what.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Put this one at the top of your list!
Review: This book started off kind of slow and I was tempted to put it down. I'm so glad that I didn't. So full of suspense that you're pulled right into the story along with the characters. Kind of gory in places but that only adds to the plot. Pass this one along to all mystery lovers everywhere.

Summary: The best book I've read in awhile!
Review: I put off reading this book for awhile because of the main character being a quad. I'm so glad I did because it GRIPPED me!!!! It is extremely well written and the characters become your friends!! I haven't read any of his other books but I'm going to. I compare him to John Sanford and David Wiltise! Superb!!!!

Summary: "Bone Collector".....first of many?
Review: My home is full of books, but this is one I won't trade in at the used book store! I'd sure like to read a sequel & follow Rhyme's adventures...he's a great and truly original character!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Too violent, shallow characters
Review: I liked Mr. Deaver's earlier books, but The Bone Collector was a disappointment to me. This author seems to have decided that handicapped heroes (his last was a deaf mute) are politically correct, and might sell books. That's because the character never rings true, rather, he seems to be a contrived product of the author's intensive research into paraplegia. Same problem with the female cop -- Deaver wants to appeal to the "strong, independent" woman" crowd, but his efforts fall short. Even the violence is cliche-ridden -- the use of rats, in particular. I recommend that readers stick to earlier Deaver books and skip this one.

Summary: Bone Collector is contrived and lacks depth
Review: My problem with this book is that the author clearly wanted to capitalize on the interest in paraplegia arising from Christopher Reeve's accident. Research was good, but the result is term-paper like, with shallow characters, violent scenes inserted for effect that rang false, and an ending that works as a sequel set-up, but not as a satisfying conclusion to this flawed book.

Summary: Forensic Science is IN!
Review: What can I say? The beginning was a little shaky with the introduction of Amelia Sachs but after the first few pages, things really started to pick up. Rhyme, a retired quadriplegic criminalist, is at once an interesting character. He hooks you with his sharp tongue and snappy wit, using to the extent his incredible forensic knowledge. What an enlightening read! The book retains its high-strung atmosphere all the way -- right until the climatic ending! It'll keep you guessing who the perp really is ... but don't be to sure, Deaver's got many tricks up his sleeve!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very gripping & exciting from the beginning. Unpredictable!
Review: I was drawn in from the first page. Lincoln, the main character is amazing in this book. He really knows how the mind of the villian in this book works. He may not have the physical capacity to do some of the things he wants, but he knows how to figure out the villians moves and get others motivated to do what needs to be done. This is a MUST READ book. It has it all, humor, romance, thrills, suspense & a surprise ending
