Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Didn't want it to end. Review: Since reading this book I have gone out and bought all the Deaver books I could find! I read this straight through in two days. I couldn't wait to see what happened to the next victim! He finds the most creative, gruesome ways to torture people. One of the most nerve wracking books I have ever read... even if you don't like murder mysteries, this is worth trying. I hope there is a sequel... or two or three....
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: An incredible read! Review: Do not open this book unless you are prepared not to put it down until you've finished! This is the first of Mr. Deaver's novels that I have read, but if his prior novels are anything like this, I'll be reading them next. I was completely fascinated by both the story and the characters. Rhyme is unforgetable, both for his scientific reasoning, as well as his personal sorrows and joys. I was taken completely by surprise at the unmasking of "The Bone Collector" and the author kept me guessing up to the last sentence of the last page about Ryhme's fate. I have passed this book on to a friend, and have recommended it to everyone. It is a top-notch mystery and one I will not soon forget.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Free up a weekend for this one. Review: I passed on this book a couple times. The over use of politically correct protagonists in books these days: cripples, midgits, blind detectives, etc. etc., was getting a little boring and had me believing writers couldn't depend on their skill alone, they had to try to reinvent the wheel . But I'm glad I finally picked up The Bone Collector, even though I waited for the paperback. Deaver has developed his characters so well, I can almost feel Rhyme's struggle between opting for Dr. Kevorkian or helping solve a complex murder mystery. Rhymes and Sachs are great together. The technical detail bogged the story down only slightly but any time I find a can't-put-down book, it rates right up there!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Tense thriller...a must for mystery fans! Review: While I must admit a bit of disappointment with an ending that felt a little too pat and abrupt, I really liked this book overall. It reminded me a lot of "The Alienist" by Caleb Carr, which I thought was one of the best books of this genre that I've read. As a forensics nut, I LOVED Deaver's attention to crime scene details, and that he reposted the latest list of clues every few chapters so that the reader could join right in with Rhyme, Sachs, and company in the hunt for the sadistic killer. Bravo!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great book with one major flaw.... Review: This book was fabulous - but it had a major flaw - it ended! I fell in love with Lincoln Rhyme and Amelia Sachs and I couldn't put the book down. It was thriller through and through - and as a bonus it was well written and the characters were so real that you almost felt like you were there with them.I can't wait to see where Jeffery Deaver takes us next.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Great Characters Review: Surprising and unsuspecting ending. Exciting. I hope Jeffery Deaver has set the stage to write another book using two of the characters in the Bone Collector, Rhyme and Sachs.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Addictive Book in need of a SEQUEL Review: I felt like a true addict reading this book! I simply could not put it down! Between the technical proficiency of Jeff Deaver and the fast-paced plot, I was very pleased with this novel. I read anything, rarely to test literary merit, and this book is at the top of my list as a great story. Come on Deaver!! Don't leave me hanging! You've got to write a sequel! Excellent read and well worth the time. BUY IT NOW!!!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Brilliant Review: My main problem while reading this book was that all other aspects of life (eating, working, sleeping) interfered.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Very suspenseful! Review: Excellent development of the plot. Keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Do not read it on a night you want to go to sleep early as you will want to read it from start to finish.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Compelling mystery with a bonus. Review: The Bone Collector is a compelling mystery with the bonus of character development. I developed empathy for Rhyme and fell in love with Amelia Sachs. Great read!
