Summary: Some of the Best Overshadows Some of the Worst
Review: I truly enjoyed this book. The combination of forensic science coupled with a flawed but brilliant quadraplegic detective after a serial killer is riveting. The murder scenes are original and gruesome with interesting connections to old New York events. Unfortunately, these must overshadow an ending that is implausible and an ex-model sidekick Detective Sachs who adds very little but fluff.

Summary: Couldn't put the book down!
Review: I enjoyed this book very much. Couldn't put it down. Halfway thru the book, I made my own conclusion as to who was the Unsub 823, but boy!Surprise, surprise, surprise! ...It's a great book! Can't wait to read Mr. Deaver's newest book, The Devil's Teardrop...

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Couldn't be a better read!
Review: I read "The Coffin Dancer" first, so was surprised and delighted to find I enjoyed this first appearance of Lincoln Rhyme even more. Beautifully constructed plot, complex characters, greatly satisfying forensic details, sexual tension, historical facts--I hated to have it end!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Mystery and forensic science lovers will LOVE this!
Review: I could NOT put this book down! I read this book in less than three days and I was captivated by every chapter, every word up until the very end! For anyone who loves mysteries, suspense and forensic science, THIS is the book for you! I can't wait to read others of Jeffrey Deaver's books.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: a bone chiller like "Silence of the Lambs"
Review: If you have read the novels of Patricia Cornwell, you'll enjoy Jeffrey Deaver's Bone Collector. He uses detective lingo. The reader feels as though he or she was investigating the grisly crimes.. Read The Coffin Dancer.. it has the same characters to solve more gruesome plots.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: BONE PLEASING
Review: This is the second book by Deaver that I have read. May I say even though it is very good it is not quite as good as "The Coffin Dancer". This book seemed to be a litlle more bland. It wasn't as full of excitement and in debt thought. Even though it was lacking a few points the story line was still very, very good and the charactors seemed very life like.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Eliminates any distractions!
Review: I went into a small bookstore to get a book for a long flight; the proprietor suggested Deaver. She stated that everyone has liked it - she was RIGHT! My flight was delayed, there were noisy children and rude passengers, but I didn't mind because this book had me flipping the pages with intrigue!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: OUTSTANDING!
Review: All I can say is "WOW!" This is by far one of the best books I have read! Rhyme and Sachs are wonderful together. SO CLEVER! Note: DO NOT READ WHEN YOU ARE ALL BY YOURSELF. There was one part when I actually jumped up and ran out of the kitchen and into my husband's lap!!!! Its just that good!

Summary: Wow, what a departure from the usual...
Review: This was THE most enthralling book I have read in a long time. I thought Tami Hoag was the best, but this was outstanding. Not much keeps me up late, but his book truly did. A real page turner, and very, very surprising. Full of twists and turns. More! More!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Compelling; couldn't put it down, so read most of the night.
Review: I "stumbled" on Deaver's The Bone Collector in a used paperback bookstore. I'm a fan of this genre, and have just ordered three more from Amazon. Am sorry to hear some of his earlier work is not in print; would like to acquire them also. I enjoyed this every bit as much as my favorite, Jonathon Kellerman.
