Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Standard stuff but great. Review: There are just a few moments in this book when you do feel like it's being padded out.But really that's not important because it does add to character development even though it's not needed on account of the development of the characters within the plot. It is your standard mystery/thriller with lots of high-tech descriptions made easy to understand and explained using the less knowledgable characters. So you don't get preached to by the author. It's got the standard nutter in it and the standard nutter's crazed genius at work. Very enjoyable, pacey, page-turning and a must-read if you're into this genre.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Fan Collector Review: Jeff Deaver is sure to collect more than bones with this writing. Not having read anything previous by Deaver, I now find myself surfing back titles. The current story shows obvious research and parlaying skills. Deaver is able to weave contemporary forensic science into a masterful plot. This ability reminds me a lot of Crichton. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and only hope he's been this good in the past as I await the arrival of earlier titles from Amazon.com.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Excellent! Review: This is the first Deaver book I read. Now I'm on a mission to read them all. The story behind this book is simple. A madman is on the loose in NYC, kidnapping victims and leaving clues behind for the police to find the victims. If they are not found in time, they meet with a horrible death. Knowing this, the police turn to an ex-cop, Lincoln Rhyme, famous criminalist who was retired after a spinal column injury. Now a quadriplegic, he is forced back into service knowing he is the only one who can catch the madman. With the assistance of a team he assembles, including the beautiful Patrolwoman Amelia Sachs, they set out on the villians trail. This book was a page-turner. The charcters are developed quickly and in depth. You are immediately swept up into action and it doesn't end until the end. I didn't find one thing boring about this book. The only disappointing part was the ending which seemed a little far fetched. But I still recommend this whole-heartedly!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Gripping & Suspense Filled Review: This was my first attempt at a Jeff Deaver book, I'm a huge Stephen King fan and usually stick to that. This was the first murder mystery in a long time that kept me interested. Some good gory moments and lots of cop talk that made you feel like it was too real. The ending was some what of a let down but no other complaints. Loved the characters, the story, the flashed back in time, etc.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A bone-grabbing story Review: The Bone Collector is a bone-grabbing story. This horror story is about a very nasty man, and he likes bones. He does want some revenge, because he goes to jail because he killed someone, and he want to try to scare a particular man. One time he tore, actually ripped out a guy's bone. it was nasty to me, because it was dripping with blood and veins were hanging off. I liked this book because it will keep you up all night. It pops out at you and scares you. People who like scory stories will freak out over this book. Only the ones who like scary books should read this horror story.

Couldn't put it down. The main story line is that a retired, paralized police detective is pulled back into police work because of bizarre murders around town. Clues have to be indentified and analyzed to lead to the site of the next victim. Ending is very surprising.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Must Read For Everyone! Review: Jeffery Deaver where have you been hiding? This author is amazing! I love the way he tells a story and expains it in so much detail, yet he writes it so smoothly that you feel like your really there. The Bone Collector was the first book I read by Deaver and I thought it was incredible! The book had amazing charaters and a chilling story. This book is definatly a page turner, the kind of story you find in a scary thriller movie that makes you sit on the edge of your seat and cover your eyes. The plot leaves you guessing who the killer is and the ending goes out with a bang! Just when you think you knew who did it "BANG" your wrong and the true killer finally comes to light!
