Summary: Excellent read!
Review: This is the first Nance novel I have read, and I couldn't put it down! Started it at 9 in the morning and finished it just after 4. Very fast paced book. Other than the slight distraction that someone didn't catch the location glitch on page 303, it was pretty spellbinding.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Non-stop action...
Review: This is the third book by Nance that I have read and they just keep getting better and better. I couldn't put it down. I hope that it's not too long until he comes out with another novel.

Summary: A new feeling on flying !!!
Review: This was a good book, it didn't say too much technical (that you couldn't understand), the hero's and bad guys of the book were a little bit different. I stayed up until 3 in the morning to finish it and I lost complete track of time, I got so into the story and when I was finished, I let out a little ā€˛yahoo !!" for justice. But, I don't recommend that you read this book while on a plane !!!

Summary: THE LAST HOSTAGE - A spellbinder to the end
Review: Unconventional and untested rookie FBI agent Katherine Bronsky is thrusted into the middle of a skyjacking of a Boeing 737 over the Rocky Mountains. The hijacker has a bizarre list of demands that Kat attempts to fill before the plane crashes and burns. The hijacker does not want money or free passage to an extradition-free country; the perp wants another perp brought to justice for an alleged capital crime. The irony is not lost on Kat and the others involved.

The tension and suspense climbs constantly until the story line lands on a clever note. Maybe not necessarily a plausible landing, but one that is entertaining and satisfying. This is a fun quick read. Arthur John Nance has made THE LAST HOSTAGE the reader, from start to finish.

Summary: Unpleasant book
Review: Well, I like adventure books and I like storys about aircraft and airports and so on. But this book is bad because somehow the people are all very single-sided and strange. Additionally the author attempts to teach the reader good manners and that I hate if it happens every second page in an adventure story. Finally the hero and antihero can not catch the fellings of the reader because they betray their claimed cause and act purely selfish and dumb.

Summary: Unpleasant book
Review: When I first picked up the book, I had very low expectations. From the dustcover, I thought the writer was pandering to Hollywood. While this is not great literature, I found it to be a fun read. If you are looking for a good summer book, this will do. It has a fast breezy style even if the writer did use a cookie cutter approach to his cast of characters. If you are reading for entertainment, this is good choice.

Summary: pretty good, lean and mean
Review: you'll read this one so quick you will think you're speed reading! nice surprises, and keeps moving along. Another good airliner in distress book is MAYDAY. For the real stuff check out Macarthur Job's Air Disaster Books wedged in the transportation section of your bookstore. These are fascinating. FASCINATING!! You'll thank me later!!
