Rating: Summary: FASTEN YOUR SEATBELTS!!! Review: My husband and I met in line in a drug store almost 3 years ago as I was purchasing my first Nance novel; "Pandora's Clock". Mike is a veteran (10,400 hrs) airline pilot who is based in Detroit, while I, our cats & my 16 yr old stepson live in Sacramento. Mike is gone 2-3 weeks at a time, leaving me plenty of time for my favorite pastime: reading John J. Nance books. "THE LAST HOSTAGE" was one of the most gripping books that I've read, filling me with anxiety and excitement at the same time. When Mike would call me, the first thing I would do would be to tell him what was happening, asking him if a 737 could take off fully loaded from Telluride (Mike is from Estes Park, CO, and has flown the Rockies for years). Nance's books not only keep me turning pages all night long, but keep me closer in touch with my own pilot, making those weeks of separation go by much quicker. I found myself wishing that "THE LAST HOSTAGE" would go on forever, for I would certainly read it forever. Keep it up Captain Ken and Kat!
Rating: Summary: One of the best Fiction books on Aviation Review: Ok, being a pilot myself, at first, I found that the book was VERY accurate on the terms (+20 points). NExt, the plot was great as well (Another 20 points). It went on, and, on, and all the while, I COULD NOT PUT THE BOOK DOWN!!! It is AMAZING!
Rating: Summary: More exciting than a missed approach in a thunderstorm! Review: Outstanding! Nance is quickly becomming the Robin Cook of "airline thrillers". He's earned my respect and admiration as a reader, writer and airline captain. If they don't make a major motion picture of this we're all missing out!
Rating: Summary: The Last Hostage- by John J. Nance Review: The Last Hostage is another classic by Nance. The aviation details are excellent as usual. The storyline is extremely gripping as well, keeping you on the edge of your seat until the end, when the story stops abruptly, but convincing. I recommend it to anyone, if you can stand the fact that there aren't as many aviation scenes as in recent books Pandora's Clock and Medusa's Child.
Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: This is a great hijacking/ airplane suspense book with some interesting plot turns -- a medium short read of a day or so.
Rating: Summary: Sit back and Enjoy! You've been highjacked! Review: This is a great thriller. I found the characters to be very complicated and interesting... I couldn't put this book down waiting to find out what would be discovered next! Nance takes you on a wild thriller of a ride, you never know where you may end up, and it keeps you guessing the entire flight! I highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy a great adventure!
Rating: Summary: Be Taken Hostage by the Best Book You Will Ever Read!!! Review: This is by far the best book i have ever read. The last hostage truly does take the reader "hostage". After the captain of the 737 takes the crew and passengers hostage until the Attourny General confesses to releasing the man who murdered his daughter, he finds out that the attourny general is in possession of kiddie porn, PLUS the attourny general has a secret about the captain's daughter's murderer that he isnt telling the police. The Last Hostage is an intense book that will keep you guessing until the end.

Rating: Summary: Fasten your seatbelts... Nance takes you for a ride ! Review: This is my first book by Nance, but I can assure you it won't be my last. Very fast read. If you enjoy stories around the flying/airline industry, this is worth a look. I found the plot to be quite real with enough twists to keep you involved right to the end.
Rating: Summary: Thrilling, holds your interest from page 1 Review: This is the first book I have read by John Nance. You can be sure I will read all of his other publications. Mr. Nance has the nack to keep your interest at a level that won't let you put the book down. I would put Mr. Nance on the same level as Tom Clancy or Jack Higgins.
