Summary: Sacket
Review: I liked The Sackets because westerns are one of my favorite kinds of books. The main idea of this story is that this familly is reunited after many years of being without each other. I have no dislikes for this book.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Above average in the Series..
Review: Sackett is one of the better Sackett Series titles. Tell Sackett seems to undermine himself in light of his successful younger brothers Tyrel and Orin, but that guy can sure hold his own. I found his conversations with others most amusing. He had a hint of humor and sarcasm to his words yet he never came across as conceited.
A good western.

Summary: "TELL"
Review: Tell Sackett is my favorite of the Sackette boys. He is tough without starting any trouble, doesn't try to show people that he's better, or that he is more gifted. You start the trouble and he finishes it. Of course all of the Sacketts have these qualities but Louis seems to allow TELL to show them at a higher level. Anyway Tell stumbles onto a cave in the high lonesome, investagates the interior and low and behold finds gold. Now all he wants is enough to buy a ranch but.........

Summary: This book is good
Review: The novel SACKETT is about a young man named Tell Sackett. He fled to Texas where he discovers a vein of gold. After the locals find out some of them begin to get greedy. They try to do a number of things to Tell but nothing can discourage him. In the end Tell gats the gold and gets the ranch he always wanted. This book was very good just because of the fact that he puts so much great detail into the novel everything seems so real. It was an excellent book.

Summary: Not THE Sackett, just SACKETT!
Review: The title of this book is simply SACKETT, and it is the best of the series, even better than The Daybreakers and To the Far Blue Mountauns. Tell is my favorite of the Sackett brothers. He is the easiest to identify with, and I enjoyed reading this book, which introduces you to one of L'Amour's best characters. Sackett is a good book for anyone just starting to read L'Amour and is a good lead-in to the rest of the Sackett Series.
