Summary: Great.
Review: I do like this book. It's the story of Rahab, a prositute who actually got to see the walls of Jericho fall down. She started to have faith in God, although none of her family really did which caused them to treat her badly and poorly, when she tried to save them from death. She hid two spies on her rooftop underneath some flax, who were a couple of Iraelites. I enjoyed this pretty short book, and the story was interesting. I recommend the other four books in this series by Mrs. Rivers, as well.

Summary: Rahab- a woman of true faith
Review: I have always loved the story of Rahab- a woman who had incredible faith in God. Francine Rivers, in her usual flawless style, brings readers the story of a Canaanite prostitute who risked her life to hide two Israelite spies, and because of her bravery and deep belief in God was richly rewarded. The second book in the Lineage series, Rahab reminds us never to lose faith, even in our darkest moments.

Summary: Very disapointed by this book!
Review: I was looking forward to read this book, I had like the book about Mary maybe because we all know the story of Mary the mother of Jesus and I never heard of Rahab before but to me Mary seem more real and we could really feel her faith in God in her book but with Rahab I could not feel it. She got on my nerves, she was to harsh, she was so mad that her family and her people didn't believed in the God of Israel but how could they, they were raise to think in another God. The story was boring, Salmon saw her, she was so beautiful he fall in love with her and save her and her family, the story keep repeating itself and they show a punish God not a loving and forgiving one. So it was right that the Israelite killed everybody in Jericho, men, women, kids, young, old, animals, everything because God told them too, I don't think it's right, God is not suppose to be a forgiving one? Also they were told not to take anything for themself but only gold, silver...for God for his treasure, why he need that, he his materialistic??? And saying we have to obey God, we are the servants of God, I prefer the saying we are all a part of God, we are all his children and not just the Israelite!!! I really didn't felt the strong feeling of Rahab for God, why she have it, they just say, she don't really know but she felt it, well I could not feel her having it! In the Old Testament it seem like God his a punishing one, I prefer the one from the New Testament! The only good thing in this book it's a fast reading!

Summary: Three Cheers for Francine from Bodie Thoene
Review: Once again Francine has managed to capture so much truth in this wonderful story. A master historical fiction writer, she finds the heart of the character and manages to touch our hearts in the telling of the story. Francine Rivers work is a joy to read.

Summary: Francine Rivers brings Bible characters to life!
Review: Rahab stands as one of the most courageous and faithful women of the Bible. Despite being a Caananite and a prostitute, she recognizes the truth and power of God of the Israelites. She realizes that the Jews are indeed his chosen people and that they had been promised her land by God. When two spies are sent to Canaan, she welcomes them and helps them. In return, they promise to spare her and her family when they invade her country. Rahab persuades her family to seek refuge in her house and they watch in amazement as the Jordan River parts and the Israelites return to the land of their fathers. Even more amazing is the 7-day march around Jericho and the eventual fall of the walls. Again, Rivers brings a Bible story to life and makes it more memorable to the reader, while making every effort to stay true to the Biblical account.

Summary: Rehab the Unexpected Believer
Review: Rehab shocked everybody with her belief in God and only knowning so little about Him. She was looked down upon and showed a nation she was able to release her job as a harlot and become one of God's many believers. She helped save two lives and was rewarded by God. Her family found it hard to believe but her heart was set and ready for the life following God. She did the best she could with her situation and came out a shining star for fellow followers.

Summary: About Belonging
Review: There were moments I smiled with Rahab and felt joy, there were moments with her that my eyes were so blurred with tears that I couldn't read for the space of a few blinks. Her story was inspiring - she wanted so badly to belong to God and be one of His chosen, and her faith shone so bright in the darkness of the rest of the people of Jericho's unbelief in God ... I couldn't believe it when after all Rahab had done to also save her family's lives, that they said what they said and behaved as they did toward her. I understood Rahab's frustration with them - she couldn't understand why they did not believe in - or even want to believe in, and trust in, God. Regardless of the lack of support from her family, and regardless of how she had made mistakes in her life and felt moments of shame, she had great faith in God to save her and accept her, and it was so good for my heart to read about how he not only saved her, but welcomed her as his chosen and then blessed her with someone who loved her and who didn't focus on her past, but on her future.

Summary: Rahab- the woman of faith
Review: This account of Rahab and the spies is wonderful! Ms Rivers really brings the story to life by adding great emotion and drama, while still sticking close to scripure accounts. Rahab is prostitute who refuses to believe in idol gods and wants to know much more about the hebrew's God, the Living God. I encourage anyone who holds faith to read this book about Rahab- beautiful woman of faith. The only bad part of the book was that sometimes it gets alittle boring/dragged out/dry, and it makes ya wanna skim some of thos parts. I lived 'Unveiled' with Tamar much more that this one, but nevertheless, worth the read!
