Summary: This book is inspirational!
Review: I love to read this to our students in our children's library. It's lessons are so varied. Teamwork, thinking creatively and being different are all topics to discuss after this great read. The illustrations and language are simply astounding. It is an underwater dreamscape that provokes contemplation for adults as well as children!

Summary: Review of Swimmy
Review: I must have read this book a hundred times since I was first read the story in a graduate course in education. Furthermore, I have read it to my students so many times and they never get tired of Swimmy. Who can help but fall in love with the little fish that could?

Summary: You'll see it in your child's eyes
Review: My daughter, now 19, still vividly remembers how, as a little girl, she insisted on this book every night at bedtime -- alomst as vividly as I remember the joy I felt in seeing the light in her shining eyes every time I read it to her.

Read this one to your child, and together you will embark on a journey of love and imagination.

Summary: Swimmy is a great book
Review: Swimmy by Leo Lioni is fictional. This brave book is really excitciting if you want to read something in some free time. If you have the courage and are interested in reading this book I bet you will like it. The pictures in this book are amazing, they have a lot a details. Its like reading a book without words. I reccommend this book to grades 2-4, little kids will like the pictures and older children can practice thier fluency.

Summary: A sensational book for beginner readers! Delightful!
Review: Swimmy shows the courage of every little fish inside of us!

Summary: Wonderfully imaginative and inspiring!
Review: This book is a must for all libraries!!! Leo Lionni is well known for his orginal art and he does not disappoint in this book. The artwork is so creative and imaginative. The theme of this story is also significant that our differences are what make us unique and we can use those qualities to help others in different ways like Swimmy is able to in this story. You must read this book, if not for the sweet story for the great artwork.

Summary: Swimmy is a fantastic, inspiring fish for all ages!
Review: This book is a must for every child's library. There are so many topics of discussion that can be brought out with just this one book. Friendship, courage, cooperation, and the ocean life are just a few. If you are a teacher, or have young children, this book is a must.

Note to teachers: I use this during my ocean unit in kindergarten. We then make an ocean mural. Every child makes a red fish and I make a black fish, which is Swimmy. We then work together to make all of our fish look like one big fish. The children love it!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: SWIMMY big hit with kindergartners.
Review: Used this book with a summer enrichment program and saw children become engaged and enthusiastic about ocean life and the concept of "schools" of fish--
