Rating: Summary: This Path is a Wild and Wooly Ride Review: As the Lions of Lucerne, Thor's first novel, concludes the reader is clear that there is much unfinished business ahead. That is what this book is all about. Bringing those that need to be brought to justice to that end, one way or another. As the story continues, there are attacks in the Middle East on Moslem places of worship for which an extremist group called The Hand of God takes the credit. While these attacks move the Arab countries closer to war with Isreal, it is clear to some that a shadowy figure by the name of Hashim Nidal is the one behind the attacks. Hashim is the son of Abu Nidal and is also one of the masterminds of the kidnapping of the President of the United States and the slaughter of almost all of his Secret Service protection. One problem for those trying to track him down is that no one knows what he looks like other than he has "silver" eyes. Scott Harvath, the lone SS Agent to survive the attack has looked into those eyes and nearly failed to live to tell the story. Others are not so fortunate. Fans of the CIA will not be happy with the pattern of ineptitude that is painted concerning their part of the undertaking, but every hero must have his hurdles to overcome and the CIA is clearly one of them for Harvath. The story moves around various parts of the world as the cycle of violence grows and the danger of all out war in the Middle East builds. This has all of the bells and whistles of the first book with some new and interesting characters and the liklihood that the whole story has still not been told. That is very good news for Thor fans.

Rating: Summary: NO SOPHOMORE SLUMP HERE! Review: Brad Thor's second installment in his new writing career is a fast paced page-turner, " Path of the Assassin". Thor brings back the hero of "The Lions of Lucerne" Scot Harvath, this time to track down the remaining "Lions". Harvath is interrupted suddenly when an unknown assassin kills the last Lion. Meanwhile, as the world is erupting with acts of terror Harvath is summoned by the president to join an elite CIA team to track down the terrorist responsible for the recent terror activity. Thor does an exceptional job with his description of the exotic places that Harvath must get to around the world. With lots of excitement and faced page turning action Path of the Assassin is a thriller that leads the reader around the world at a blazing pace. With the current events of the real world the reader may get confused between the fiction book and a non-fiction book. A must read for all Silva and Flynn fans.
Rating: Summary: Horrifying! Review: By horrifying, I mean that it is a horrifying experience to read this complete piece of junk! The male, egomaniacal, wisecracking prose (which it barely is)reads like an incredibly terrible Hollywood movie. If I didn't borrow it from someone, I would definitely through it away. Now, I admit I don't normally read this kind of thing, but I have and I have enjoyed it. The only joy I could possibly get out of this would be if the main character, Scot Horvath, was on the receiving end of one of the many missiles launched in the first 50 pages. I can't believe this was even published. Whoever did so should be fired.
Rating: Summary: Five hours of my life I can never get back. Review: First let me say that I did not pay for this book. I had an advance readers copy so I cannot be angry about spending money for this book. This book was horrible. I found the characters, the situations and the dialogue to be unbelievable. If these people were in charge of the war on terrorism then we all better reserve a copy of the Koran and get ready to praise Allah. There were times when I actually laughed out loud and then had to reread passages to be certain about what I had read. Unfortunately my reread was no better. I actually took to highlighting passages so that I could laugh at them sometime in the future. This was a "James Bond" character with no style. Austin Powers and Dr. Evil would have been welcome additions to the plot.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT WORK!! Review: Hard to believe this guy writes so well!! Who is he? I can't wait to read the newest one! If you like suspense and action you need to read this book, I promise you won't put it down until you finish it!

Rating: Summary: Could Not Put It Down! Review: I absolutely loved Thor's first book, and hoped that he would pen a sequel. My wish came true--Path of the Assassin again features Scot Harvath, whose adventures start on the first page and never stop! The female counterpart in this book was also quite impressive--she overcame her vulnerabilities to be a heroine in her own right. If you like exciting, non-stop action, this is your book!
Rating: Summary: Tripe Review: I can't believe this book made it out of a publishing house. I was in dire need of a quick airplane read, but this is truly disappointing nonsense. Full of cliche statements--"mark my words", "That's all well and good", "She was thrown in at the deep end and proved she could swim". There are only two women in the book and both are "the most beautiful women he had ever seen". Thor egomanially has his own website. If you find your way to it make sure to check out Thor photographed with his toy guns and a cool helicopter. Ego far exceeds talent with this terrible read...
