Summary: The best book that i have ever read!!!
Review: I read everything that I can get my hands on, but Redeeming Love would have to be one of the best books that I have ever read. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down no matter what. I was constantly on the edge wondering what would happen next. Francine Rivers did a really good job writing this book by constantly coming up with new twists in the plot. What I liked most about this book is that it really showed how merciful God is and how he gives people more "second" chances and more guidence in our lives then we realize.

Summary: 5+++ - One of the most powerful books I've read!
Review: This was one of the most incredible books I have read. A wonderful human love story as the plot shows us God's unrelenting love for us all, even the worst sinners. It shows us that if we listen and allow ourselves to believe, God will speak to us in that "small, still voice." I felt so many strong emotions reading this and ended with real tears flowing. It helped me realize that I can have a love that is unconditional and boundless, even if my earthly "love" relationship is not. My hope is that by living with the Father's love relationship, maybe I can get my earthly love relationship on a higher plane as well. A must read!!!

Summary: A Beautiful book!
Review: This is the greatest bok on unconditional married love that I ever read, and I highly recommend it to anyone! It will really touch you. It's such a story of unconditional love, as a man marries a woman who led the life of a prostitue, and his love as well as God's elps redeem her, as he shows her what really love is. It deserves all the stars that it can get. It's one of my favorite books.

Summary: Realize God's love all over again (or for the first time!)
Review: This book is the first I've read by Francine Rivers, but will certainly not be the last. The story of Angel and Michael grabbed me from the first page. The characters were well thought out and realistic. I could imagine myself in their place several times. This book has motivated me to seek God's will more fervently in my life. What more can you ask of a work of fiction? God's hand must be on Francine Rivers. Read this book, you won't regret it, and you won't come away unchanged.

Summary: Most Powerful/Touching/Riveting historical romance novel
Review: I love reading historical romance novels, and it was by chance (or was it?) that I found this book.
I've never written a review before for Amazon, but felt compelled to do so because this book is the most powerful/touching/riveting romance book I've ever read. I've never cried so hard or so much before over a love story.
Coming from a non-Christian perspective (yet I do believe in God), this is the most powerful love story that I've ever read. The love that Michael has for Sarah is ultimately the love that we all seek, and is the type of love that God wants us to have. It certainly made me reflect on my love for my husband, and made me realize what I needed to do to give him such unconditional love.
And Sarah, how can you not feel her hurt, her pain, her feelings of shame and feeling she didn't deserve such a man as Michael? I loved the change in Sarah, how she came to love Michael and love him truly and deeply, so much so she felt she needed to sacrifice her love for him. She was able to heal herself with his love, and ultimately, with God's love.
And the love between God and Michael, truly, to quote from the book, "a man after God's heart". Michael is the epitome of the Christian faith, I've yet to meet a real person who lives the word of God as Michael does. Certainly, I could learn from his example.
So for those who love historical romance, certainly not a book to pass up. I'm very thankful that I came across it.

Summary: The best
Review: This was the first book I had read by Francine Rivers, and it was awesome. At first I was slightly hesitant about reading it (I had recently read a book by a new author and it had greatly disappointed me). But I'm so glad I did. Francine Rivers has a great way of writing books. What a special talent. At first I thought it was sad that Angel kept leaving Michael, but by the time I finished reading it I was quite satisfied. I was talking about it for days afterwards. I must've told my mom about hundreds of times abou how great a book it was (I think I gave her a serious headache). I love laughing and crying with the characters in the book I'm reading. Redeeming Love had all of that and so much more.

Summary: A Powerful Witness
Review: When Redeeming Love was first released, as an admirer of Francine's story telling skills I rushed out to buy a copy. After reading it I returned to clear out the shelves of three different book stores, buying 4-5 copies at a shot. When it was released in hardback through a book club, I bought another 5 copies. Why so many books? Because it is the BEST witness of the Father's love that I can give to someone who will not listen to "God talk" or read traditional Christian fiction. What is a well written romance on the surface, is so much more at its core.This story gets inside of the readers heart and mind, it creates a hunger to be loved unconditionally. To be loved in a manner the world via Hollywood tells us is possible, but life experince tells us is not. This is God's love at work in Michael's life and Angel's, and for those readers who allow it, in our lives as well. We all sin and fall short of the mark, Angel did so in a very public manner. We all need to be redeemed, to know that we are loved beyond measure. Francine's retelling of the book of Hosea allows a glimpse of the depth and breadth of the Father's love for each of us.

Summary: I cried after every chapter
Review: WARNING! Do not start reading this book unless you have a good chunk of time. You will not be able to put it down. I do not usually read fiction, and especially not romances, but I have to say, this is a very good book. The story and characters are Biblically based on the story of Hosea. What really struck me, was how Rivers was able to portray God's love. That's why I cried. Each chapter showed just how Jesus reaches out for us, even after all our many times of rejecting Him. The resolution at the end did not seem corny to me. And the sex was just suggested (I mean, the story is about a whore, so what to you expect?). I have recommended this book to several of my friends and they all liked it too. I went on to read The Mark of the Lion series, which I also enjoyed, but none of those books are as good as this particular one.

Review: This was my first book I read by Francine Rivers, and I really enjoyed it. She has a great ability to spin a tale that you don't know where she's going, but you want to find out! I especially liked the "forgiveness" this story was based around & Francine's knowledge of God's word. This book shows a very hard side of life, but also a very beautiful side of life. I recommend this book.

Summary: Crosses the Line
Review: This book came across to me as a Christian's excuse to read smut. One could write a similar story full of sexual details about David and Bathsheba, but I don't think it would honor God. I realize the author was trying to portray the theme of amazing forgiveness, but it got lost for me somewhere in all the sex.
