Review: I have read very widely, and rarely if ever, has a fiction book held my attention and deep emotions as this book did. Francine Rivers shows the life of children sold into prostitution and the traps they seem to stay in forever. She shows what real married love looks like and the contrasts between good and bad, sweet and bitter, happiness and sadness, truth and lies, all are a major part of this very, very excellent Christian fiction book! It should be required reading in all high schools, private or public and I will recommend this books to all the homeschooling groups I can find. Congratulations Francine, you have done to my heart, mind and emotions what few if any authors have managed to do!

Summary: A good book
Review: I read this book almost right after it came out, largely because I love Francine Rivers' books. However, I have to admit that I didn't like it as much as her other works. I liked the characters, and appreciated much of their development as people (I think Francine Rivers invents wonderful characters). However, I felt somewhat uncomfortable with the book. I generally dislike books that show a husband-wife relationship as being an analogy for our relationship with God. God has certain privileges that another human being will never have, and shouldn't have. Largely because of this, I felt more distanced from the book. I'd recommend earlier Francine Rivers novels more (esp. the Mark of the Lion series and The Scarlet Thread).

Summary: A Gripping Novel for Both Men and Women
Review: I couldn't put the book down! I read it in one day. It was one of the most gripping novels I have ever read. It caught me at a time where I really needed to see unconditional love displayed. So often we get into our own little worlds, our own shells and we push everyone away from us. It really helped me see the way my wife has loved me over the years. Truly eye opening.

Summary: A moving picture of the unshakeable love of God
Review: What a joy to be able to share my thoughts about this book with whomever may read this. This is the first book Francine Rivers wrote after coming into her relationship with Christ. Because of that, it has a rawness and a fresh fascination with the incredible love of God. The characters are real and believable, especially Angel, whose life experiences have left her bitter and angry, certain that there is no hope for redemption or love. The story that unfolds is so much more than the "sappy" romance-novel cover depicts (I wish the publisher would redesign it). Even for me, a Christian for 15 years, it was deeply moving and humbling to read of how unshakeable God's love is, and also His discipline. I have reccomended this book to so many people, all of whom have had similar responses to mine, and I would suggest it as a way to show God's amazing love to anyone you may know who doesn't know Him. Praise God for servants who are gifted in such unique ways as Mrs. Rivers - may she continue to glorify Him with her stories!

Review: To me, this is one of the best books ever! I've read it 4 times (3 at least) and with each time I get new things from it! I spent an hour one night telling one of my guy friends about it! I'm constantly giving it to my friends to read! It's a masterpiece! I never tire of reading stories written by Francine Rivers.

Review: This is the fifth Francine RIVERS BOOK I have read. As an author she bring christen fiction to a new level. She has a gift for story telling that brings the charaters alive. God will speak to you trough this novel and open your heart to his love. I enjoyed the story and read it in two sittings. I recommend any of Mrs. Rivers books wholeheartedly!

Summary: A Masterpiece!
Review: I finish reading this book in three days! I just cannot put it down. I can see God's love in every sentence and even every word. Thank you Francine Rivers for giving us this book; but more important, thank God, for letting us know Your care and love for us through this splendid storyteller. It teaches me how to love others unconditionally, and how to forgive! (it's seventy times seven!!!!) Remeber, no matter what u did, there is a reason in it, there is a purpose in God's mind, just like what Angel's life had been before she met Michael. Although that was not really a good one, there IS still a purpose in it. If not because what Angel had been before, she wouldn't have met Michael, and would not be able to know about God. All in all, this book really teaches me a lot. And I really hope that in the future, I can find a guy like Michael, who not only loves me, but also our Heavenly Father. ** After reading this book, I start writing down my wishes in papers (with dates of course) and put them in a small box...just like what Susanna did in the book!! ;p **

Review: Michael Hosea shows love the way God intended love to be...ever present, strong, never forced and life changing. Anyone who comes into relationship with someone who loves like he is portrayed as loving is affected for the better. This is the kind of man I am looking to find, the view of God I would like to grow in, and the kind of love I want to affect others with.

Review: When the Lord spoke "I am" I knew I was in trouble. I have never cried while reading a book before. An excellent retelling of Hosea's life. Read it! Men especially! This is not just a novel for women.
