Summary: Not up to Francine River's usual standards.
Review: This book was definitely helpful to me in understanding God's unconditional love for me! However, towards the middle it began to read like any other romance novel. I've come to expect more from Francine Rivers. I've read most of her other books, and she's a wonderful writer! This book lacked her usual depth and seemed to me to be frivolous. To be fair, I didn't finish it because I didn't feel it was worth my time. Maybe if I'd read to the end I would have changed my view of the book. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to understand God's love better and see clearer how important it is to be faithful to Him, but don't judge Francine Rivers based on this book alone.

Review: The book is absolutely amazing. I borrowed it from a friend and I never put it down once. I think it is the best book I ever read! I always got frustrated when Angel kept leaving Michael.He was such a good man with a kind heart. But God always lead her back to him. "Redeeming Love" is a timeless epic that should be read over and over again

Review: This book was unbelievable! I definitely recommend this book to everyone. Especially, individuals who need something to grab them to continue reading. I'm a new Christian and was at first skeptical about reading a Christian book. I thought it would be boring or hard to follow. However, it strengthed my love for the Lord and my husband. I look at life very differently now. I have put this book on my list as my most favorite!

Summary: This is a keeper!!
Review: This book was so good - I didn't want it to end!! Wouldn't everybody love to have a man like Michael in their life! He loves Angel with such a deep love and never gives up on her no matter how many times she leaves him. I must admit, I was a bit disappointed in the book for the first few chapters. The story seemed repetitious and I almost gave up and stopped reading. Am I glad I stuck with the book!! The story of Michael and Angel parallels the story of Hosea and the prostitute in the Bible. It is a story of faith, love and forgiveness. It is a story of romance, but it goes much deeper than a simple romance. It is thought provoking and deeply moving. It is about loving unconditionally. I was glad the story ended as it did, but honestly, I wanted it to go on and on. I immediately gave my book to my mom to read. I usually don't keep a book to re-read, but this is one book I plan to keep and eagerly read again. A wonderful book!!

Summary: Super-charged, Emotional Read
Review: REDEEMING LOVE is an historical romance that doubles as an allegory for the Biblical story of Hosea. It was actually the first book that Rivers attempted to write as a new Christian, even though it was published in this market sixth. If you're not familiar with Hosea then I suggest you sit and read that book first. In it, God commands Hosea to take a prostitute as his wife. The prostitute is unfaithful and leaves but God commands Hosea to find her and forgive her and take her again, as an example of how much He loves Israel. It is a powerful story of passionate love and extreme forgiveness. That same story is re-told here, in the setting of the old west. It is just as extreme and just as powerful. Rivers is the queen of character development and that strength is played upon even more than usual here. In the end, REDEEMING LOVE is one of the best examples of the love that God has for His people and the extent of the grace that He holds out towards us. A super-charged and emotional read. Rivers again scores FIVE STARS.

Summary: Very moving!
Review: I REALLY enjoyed reading this book - it took me less than 24 hours to finish. You hear the term "I couldn't put it down," but this is the first time it's been true for me (and I read a LOT). But I wanted to find out what happened next (my Algebra teacher wasn't overly sympathetic). The characted developement was incredibly powerful. You really loved these characters. And it showed God's love with being cheesy or unrealistic, the way many Christian authors tend to be. I HIGHLY recommend this book.

Review: Redeeming Love is my favorite book ever! Although fictional, the story of Angel and Michael Hosea is based on the book in the Bible, Hoesa. Redeeming Love is about Angel, a prostitue, whom God has told Michael Hosea to marry. Once you sart this captivating book, you will not be able to put it down!

Review: this is the best book i have ever read. i bought 2 books just so i would always be able to share. it really shows how God is at work in us when we don't even know who he is. That he has a plan for all of us regardless of what we have done. this book is a must read book.

Summary: Men are missing out!
Review: This is deffinately the best book I have ever read - ever! I would love to think some men would read it. Perhaps if the author/publishers would change the cover to be more appealing to men? It was just brilliant I bought four copies and lent them all out to my friends and they all thought it was brilliant too. But unfortunately the two men I've tried to get to read it just take one look at the cover. Please ... same book different cover for men.
