Summary: Mary, did you really write this book?
Review: I must say I was a wee-bit disappointed in My Gal Sunday. Nooffense to Mary Higgins Clark but I felt as though her editor and publisher were desperate for her to write another book.

I love her books but I can honestly say I would not recommend this book to anyone. Though I read the whole book (all four stories), I was anxious to get done with it.

Sorry Mary, but it's not one of your better books.

Summary: Watching a wheel go round is more fun that reading this!
Review: Having read a few of Mary Higgins Clark's books I could notbelieve that this book was written by the same person. I have not been able to finish this book; it's so very very boring! This is a miserable collection of short stories and a complete waste of precious paper! I wish I could send it back for a refund - reason : lack of content, please recycle!

Summary: Barbie and Ken go Sleuthing!
Review: Give me a break! Although I do like mHC's work I found this tobe a bore. mHC is a good writer and when she wants can really draw a reader in but one irritating quality she has is that she uses uppity characters once too often; does the well to do only have fun? This is my one big complaint and since this book was such a bore to begin with using characters such as Henry and Sunday well that really did it to me. boring! mary honey there are others in the world besides snobs you can use to write about.

Summary: Itssss just too much!
Review: I didntttt like this book since everything is just too good tobe true, a fantastic expresident, a beutiful, talented congresswoman. They have no negative personal qualities at all and the worst is when congresswoman Sunday is kidnapped and even Saddam Hussein is eager to help. Please, be realistic! However, the book is written with humour and the stories are quite OK besides what I wrote above.

Summary: Indescribably Suspenseful...You won't be able to put it down
Review: Henry Parker Birtland IV is a wealthy ex-president. His newwife, Sunday, is beautiful, smart, and has knack for solving crimes. These two make an incredible team of sleuths and when they set out to solve crimes, they realize that there is much more to a crime then meets the eye at first glance. In the first short story, " A Crime of Passion," the two set out to clear Henry's former secretary of state of a murder charge. Because of Sunday's intuitive nature, she ends up investigating the crime on her own ( without Henry knowing of this) and finds the killer. The only problem is she is alone with him and instead of looking for a way out, she ends up looking down the barrel of his gun. In "They All Ran After the President's Wife," Sunday finds herself kidnapped by a former client who was dissatisfied with the verdict the jury gave him. Henry tries endlessly to save her and find out who it is but he can't seem to figure it out. He asks the kidnapper to make a short tape of Sunday just to show that she is still alive. In compliance to this request, the felon records Sundays voice on a tape. Through this Sunday drops clues as to who has kidnapped her and where she is. From these very unique clues, Henry figures out who the kidnapper is now all he has to do is save Sunday. In the final short story, "Hail, Columbia!," the issue of what really happened to a Latin American prime minister who disappeared from the Britland family yacht arises. Henry and Sunday decide to buy a yacht, the locally renowned Columbia. While preparing to set sail, Henry remembers the day the prime minister disappeared. Henry was only a young boy then, but he and the prime minister were very close. The last thing he remembers is taking a swim with him early in the afternoon. The prime minister told Henry that Caesar's final words, "Et tu, Brute?," had been haunting him. At the time Henry didn't know what the prime minister meant, but as he and Sunday work side by side, they piece together the 32 year mystery. This book was a definite page turner and one that kept me up at night. I would recommend it to any one who likes a good mystery!
