Summary: Audio Book!
Review: I didn't read the book My Gal Sunday but I listened to an audio cassette recording of it read by an actress named Megan Follows (Anne of Green Gables). I know a lot of Mary Higgins Clark's fans people didn't like My Gal Sunday and I do agree it's not the best of her books I have listened to on audio cassette but it's not the worst either and it was actually pretty entertaining and Sunday and her husband are good characters and the short stories are fun but as much as I like Megan Follows as an actress I think she could have put a little more emotion into her reading, her reading wasn't awful but she could have put a little more oomph into it! My opinion, This is not a bad as people are saying but everyone is intitled to their own opinion, positve or negetive! BTW: I bought the paperback book and plan on reading it as soon as I read some other books first.

Summary: Great read!
Review: I must admit that this is the very first Mary Higgins Clark that I have ever read and while I have read reviews stating that this is not her best work, I have to say that it was good enough to keep me turning pages. It was not oustandingly fantastic, but still a good enough read for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

I couldn't help liking Henry and Sunday so much. They're a sweet couple and I loved how they worked together to solve the crimes. Though this may not have been her best work, it was enough to make me want to read more of Mary Higgins Clark's work.

Summary: My Gal Sunday
Review: Summary: Henry a former president and his wife Sandra O' Brien Britland also known as Sunday have just found out that there former Secretary of State Tommy has just been accused of the murder of his wife Arabella Young. But the twist is that Tommy does not remember the night. He was found laying on his bed with his wife's dead body laying on the library floor. He was accused of killing his wife and then going back up to bed like it was nothing. Henry and Sunday decided to take matters into there own hands and investigate close friends and the housekeeper. They find out from witnessing a revolver in their face that the killer of Arabella was clearly the housekeeper Lillian. Later on while Sunday was in her car with two secret service agents, they have been knocked out by a gas bomb of some sort, and Sunday has been kidnapped. Now Henry is on a search to find out who has captured his wife and where she is being held. But Henry doesn't know that Sunday knows the captor is a former employee that Sunday has defended. Who knows will the captors give Sunday back safely once they get their demands or will they turn on them and kill her?

Review: I think this book was great because it has mystery, horror, and suspense. I think that mysteries are great books to read because they keep your wandering what's going to happen next, and it keep you wanting to read more and more. I also think this book was great because the plot is exciting and always changing, not like some books who drag on with the same thing and go on and on. I liked this book because it kept me reading and since I'm not a big reader it still kept me wanting more.

Recomondation: I recommend this book to any one who likes to ready mystery, horror, and suspense. This book takes you to a different place and you feel as if your can relate to the character in the book and what they are going through. I recommend this to teenagers and adults because for children to follow this it would be hard because there is a lot of vocabulary and certain things I think a kid would not understand. I would most likely recommend this to girls because I think girls are more into reading mystery books because guys usually read something about sports or war.

Summary: Not MHC's best but I enjoyed it.
Review: I actually listened to the abridged audio cassette of My Gal Sunday read by Megan Follows from the Anne of Green Gables movies and though it's not Mary Higgins Clark's best I didn't think it was terrible at all and I enjoyed listening to the short stories of Sunday and Henry and I would also like to read the book, short stories are nice when you don't have the time or don't feel like reading a long book but My Gal Sunday is probably more for the die hard Mary Higgins Clark fan or maybe even for people who like short stories.

Summary: I Liked This Book!
Review: My Gal Sunday is not this author's best book but I think it's still pretty good, the short stories were enjoyable and I liked the characters Henry Parker Britland IV who is a former US President and his wife, Sandra O'Brien Britland, better known as Sunday. I like Sunday, I know a name like Sunday makes her sound like a ditz but she is far from it and is actually very smart and she is also strong and brave and I like that Mary Higgins Clark wrote her like that and didn't make her a wimpy little airhead. I liked this book and recommend it to fans of Mary Higgins Clark!

Summary: Mystery with a twist of love
Review: My Gal Sunday is a very suspenseful novel filled with mystery and investigating. At first, the stories start off dull but after a few pages it gets interesting. The suspense builds and builds, making it hard to put down.
The novel is based on the adventurous life of former president, Henry Parker Britland IV and his newly wed bride, Sandra O'Brien Britland. Sandra is better known as Sunday. Each day brings another situation and is filled with trouble.
Clark develops four stories of Sunday and Henrys adventures. Sunday seems to be getting into trouble all the time. Sunday is a very intelligent woman and once she gets involved she never gives up until she succeeds. She gets involved in an unsolved murder case of the secretary of states' ex-wife Arabella. Then she is held hostage by a former client and will not be left go until a dangerous terrorist is freed. Sunday is almost killed many times but she is a very brave person and never gives up. Henry is determined to save her and try to help her get out. He uses his popularity and wealth to help her.
I really enjoyed this book. If you are into solving mysteries with a twist of love, you'll love this novel!

Summary: Nice, quick mysteries
Review: I picked up this book at the library, as it was the only one by Mary Higgins Clark that I hadn't read yet (because I had read such poor reviews). It was definitely WORTH the read. The mysteries are quick and easy....no 300+ pager here. The only bad thing was that I really didn't care for the ending on the last story. it just kind of ended very suddenly, when things were getting good. Overall though, this book was a quick read and was enjoyable. I loved the characters, although I couldn't relate to that terrible yearning to go home and make my husband a gourmet meal!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good, light mysteries
Review: I enjoyed meeting Harry and Sunday and their friends. It may not have the throat in mouth suspense of many of MHC's books, but it was an enjoyable change of pace. I would Definitely! buy any additional stories with this charming couple.

Summary: What A Dud!!!!!
Review: Can you imagine being kidnapped, held in a damp basement, tied with rope and duct tape to a chair with a cloth sack over your head and feel disappointed because you were going to make garlic chicken for your husband fom a new recipe you found? Honestly, that is one of the paragraphs in this book and it goes into detail about how much she loved to cook, where she learned and how she gets to cook one night a week while her husbands cordon bleu chef is off, all this while she is being held prisoner. I've enjoyed her other books but this one is a RIP-OFF!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Fantasy
Review: It's embarrassing to admit, but i must say that i was engrossed in the whole fantasy world of the "rich and famous". I guess i'm one of those wishful, dreamers, which in that case, you may find the book very entertaining. However other than that this sappy love story was nothing but fiction, leaning more towards the conventional soap opera.
