Summary: a must read
Review: this book shows how times have not really changed. the same type of story thta was told in the 40s, 50s, etc is still relevant in the Y2K. Isnt't that scary that racism has lasted thta long?

Summary: milk(in my coffee) does a body good
Review: In MIMC, Eric Jerome Dickey does it again. He brings the characters to live using real dialogue, believable scenarios, and masterful, poetic language. The main character, Jordan Greene, a comfortable-in-his-world guy, meets Kimberly Chavers while catching a NYC taxi. Instantly he feels a powerful connection to Kimberly, and is confused by it due to the fact that he is African-American, and she is white and red-headed...the first white woman he is atractted to. Jordan's "bed-warmer" relationship to his somewhat girlfriend, a sister called J'Nette,is quickly going downhill, and Jordan decides to take a chance with Kimberly. Their relationship is cautious and rocky from the start, and despite their friend's lack of encouragement, and interference from malicious ex's, the pair continue to see each other, each time making their feelings stronger. If this sounds like the usual love story, it's not. With dramatic plot twists and a great surprise ending, MIMC is a book you'll never want to put down, and one you'll never forget.

Summary: Field Guide To Interracial Romance
Review: I read Eric Jerome Dickey's book, Milk In My Coffe, less than 48 hours ago and it's still with me! His style of writing is both intellectual and earthy. His characters are written almost heartbreaklingly true to life. Anyone and eveyone who is in or has been in an interracial relationship knows what I mean.

This book should be required reading in any home, especially an interracial one. It gets beneath the surface of the whole interracial relationship ideaology and exposes it for what it is - a relationship between two human beings who are alike in love but different in physical appearance which happens to include color.

I started reading it at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2000 and I didn't put it down until I was done at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2000! I haven't had that happen with a book in a very long time! I highly recommend this book to everyone! This book will be a movie. You can take that to the bank!

Bravo! Eric Jerome Dickey

Summary: A dynamic book to read -- keeps you interested
Review: Milk in my Coffee was a very good book for a very skeptical reader as myself. I had heard about this book about a year or so ago and decided not to read it. I didn't want to read another story about an interracial couple. But this books made me put my foot in my mouth. Eric Jerome Dickey did an extraordinary job with this book. His descriptions of the feelings that both people were feeling were very realistic. I like that the male was written to struggle with his decision to date a caucasion woman. It helped me to understand a little more about how they feel and the emotions that they go through. I was also interested in how the woman reacted to his family and friends. The book was very realistic and compelling. In the end I was a little disappointed in the outplay of the story but the book will definitely keep you. I read this book after I read "Liar's Game" and this by far was better.

Summary: I loved it!
Review: The one thing that came to my mind after reading this book is how much I loved it. I remember I went around telling all my friends how great it was and that they should read it to. I started to feel like I actually knew the characters in the book. EJD made them come alive. The story was full of surprises. That made me not want to put it down. Jordan and Kim had a great love story. When the book ended I just wanted to hear more. By then they had become apart of my life. I wanted an update of what happened next in their lives. The book touched on every emotion. I felt anger, sadness, and joy. This book also, at times, made me laugh. I've read Sister, Sister and Cheaters as well, but this one was the best. This book is definitely a MUST READ!

Summary: A MUST GET!!
Review: This was the first book that I have ever read from Eric Jerome Dickey and I loved it. Jordan was a sensible and reliable man whom I admire who pertain his affection to both his friends and family. Kimberly in the beginning I thought was a fast pace woman cause when they first met she acted as though she wanted to sleep with Jordan, but then she prove me wrong throughout the book. I also thought that she was a bit close minded about other races around her , but when she went back on thinking about her past livlehood she had her fair share of racism and abuse from both friends and family in the past which made me understand her even better. Towards the middle to the ending of the book I no longer saw the color barrier between Kim and Jordan, I seen them as just two people falling in love. J'nette got on my nerve I don't know how Jordan tolarated her from the get go, but then again people do change on you once you get to know them. Solomon was a person that I liked in the beginnig then hated towards the end, readers if you read this book you'll understand why and the word "Dog" will pop up in your head once your done. I just like to say that I'm happy that I came across Eric's books. Thanks.
