Rating: Summary: Spell binding!!!!! Review: This added to the production of fine work from Eric. It definitely had me hooked. Although, I had to work hard to get past the initial contact with Kimberly. It jumped too quick into the relationship. As the chapters went on, it prove to be an excellent story line. Thanks Eric for another excellent book.
Rating: Summary: Very interesting Review: Eric Jerome Dickey is a very talented writer. Milk in My Coffee is wonderful book with a few surprising twists which make it a very enjoyable book. However, Sister, Sister was much funnier.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book. Dealt with modern realtionships. Review: Wanted author to know that the book was wonderful. It really changed my opinion of biracial relationships. Reading this book made me realize that I am prejudice about black/white relationships and my attitude needs to change. Hopefully it will be a beginning of attitude changes for many readers.Waiting for the next experience.... God Blessings Mr. Dickey
Rating: Summary: This Book Is An Eye-Opener. Review: I did not realize that I had grown small- minded in my views on interracial dating. While this book was entertaining (something I've come to expect from Mr. Dickey), Milk in My Coffee is also thought-provoking. Not only does it bring out external racism, it touched on the internal racism that still lingers within the African-American community. Mr. Dickey took a taboo subject and turned it into an explosive love story.
Rating: Summary: He just keeps getting better!!!!!! Review: Eric J. Dickey is definitely not to be considered a "one hit wonder". Neither should he be compared to a female peer (we all know who). Dickey is in a class by himself. He caresses a story and makes the text come to life. In Milk In My Coffee, the reader not only feels the lack of heat in Jordan's apartment, but also the pain and suffering that Jordan experiences as he deals with life. I only have one question. WHEN are we going to see this gifted author featured on Oprah?!
Rating: Summary: DICKEY IS DA BOMB OF THE 90'S Review: This book was liking hanging out with friends,,I was sorry to see it end..The style and ease of which this book was read makes you feel like these people could be you..Any book that makes me feel like a fly on the wall in some ones life to me is the sign of a great auther,,please keep the words comming
Rating: Summary: You Go Boy! Plus You Fine on that Back Cover, hmm, hmm, hmm Review: First of all I continue to say, wow, she broke that down in each and every book I've read of Mr. Dickey's and I must stop dead in my tracts and appreciate how the man, Eric Jerome Dickey, relates to women with total understanding. At least in his writing style. This particular book, I wasn't exactly thrilled with the title for I had been one who was not particularly 90's with the "jungle fever" thang. But boy, did he enlighten the heck out of me with the many insights and twists n turns. You capitivated my undivided attention for 21/2 sleepless days as I marathoned to complete this book! I ain't an easy nut to crack, but I'm wide open now!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Great book!!! Review: This is my first time reading Eric's book, I'm mostly a TerryMcmillain gal myself.... But I must say the man has talent. And therefore he kept my attention on this book from the beginning to the end.. I enjoyed how he had both characters telling their end of the story.. And just for that I'm gonna start reading his other novel's. Kia
Rating: Summary: I Loved This Book!! Review: I just finished reading and thought this was an excellent book. I also enjoyed Mr. Dickey's first two books. The ending had me turning page after page and I couldn't put it down until the very end. I absolutely loved this book and can not wait for the next one. I must admit I had some problems with the subject matter, interracial dating. Mr. Dickey handled the topic so well that it no longer became a problem. Mr. Dickey, keep up the good work and I will be one of the first to purchase your next book.
Rating: Summary: Keeps you going till the end. Review: Milk in my Coffee...definitely held my attention. This relationship just reflects what exists in our society. I enjoyed the various relationships between each of the characters. I like the way Mr Dickey writes interweaving the lives of his characters..everyone comes with a history. I think he was very accurate in portraying how sisters feel about interacial relationships. He gets a thumbs up. BTW...if you get a chance to see Mr Dickey at a booksigning do so. He is a very entertaining person. I would like to see more of his personality in his books.
