Summary: fabulous read; lots of unexpected twists and turns.
Review: An engrossing read, Eric Jerome Dickey's third book takes you on a journey through the lives of realistic and contemporary young, urban people trying to make sense of life and love while in pursuit of their dreams. READ IT, ALONG WITH THE AUTHOR'S FIRST TWO BOOKS, SISTER, SISTER AND FRIENDS AND LOVERS.

Summary: Brilliant!
Review: After reading EJD's other two books, I was compelled to keep the EJD groove and trotted out to my local bookstore for a copy of his new title. I couldn't put it down. How refreshing to see someone step up and talk about a subject most people just whisper about behind folks backs. It's 1998 and the population of our great nation is still looking at the world and it's inhabitants like they did their box of Kindergarten Crayolas. EJD dared to go there. His insight into the controversy of interracial dating from both perspectives was straight up. He took me back, had me laughing, crying, sighing, talking to myself. Love, like friendship should be color-blind and hopefully EJD made a step toward removing the corrective lenses. Stereo-type your Sony...not people and go out a buy yourself a BIG box of crayons:)

Summary: Colorful, imaginative, and entertaining
Review: As a avid reader of African American fiction, Eric's books are some of the ones I look for when I want to kick back and enjoy a good book. I've added all three of his books to my collection. I can relate so much to all of the characters. And being from Memphis TN, I have to give him his props!!!! Milk in My Coffee had some strange twists at the end and kept me wondering what would happen next!!!! I loved it!!!!! Can't wait for Book Number 4!!!!

Summary: Refreshing, honestly straight out of heart
Review: "Milk in my Coffee" Interesting settings of wonderfully "always new" New York followed with diferent characters, from all walks of life, joined together as they learn how to love, hate, lose and gain back their emotions. Never ending circle of friends who prove not to be real friends, or not-so-very-good friends who prove to be more then just a crying shoulder. Arangement of chapters is smart and modern, easy to follow and "drink-up" as your morning or afternoon coffee,....sometimes black and unsweetend and sometimes with milk and sweet,.....just like our lives but, it's always there.....Loved it! God Bless and keep on writing and teaching people about life,..... Donna

Summary: Eric Jerome Dickey has created his third masterpiece!!!
Review: I have read Sister,Sister and Friends and Lovers , both books were great. Then I experienced Milk in my Coffee which is more compassionate, intriguing and emotional than any of EJ Dickey's previous novels. While I was reading Milk in my Coffee it seemed like Jordan and Kimberly were talking to me. Eric's writing is phenomenal, he's straight to the point and true to life. Dickey's words are soooo vivid you'll truly feel you're in NY freezing with Jordan or feeling his passion. Eric Jerome Dickey touches on all the emotions and frustations we all feel once in our lives like: loneliness, abandonment, love and much more! I recommend ALL of Eric Jerome Dickey's books because they are all the BOMB!!!!!

Summary: A MALE AUTHOR WITH "LOVE KNOWLEDGE!"
Review: I initially picked the book because of the title, thought it was intriguing. Then, I looked at the author's picture... thought he was a cutie! Then I read the cover to see if this man could entice me to read the book. I bought it and read it in two sittings! I loved the way he portrayed Jordan. All women need to believe that there are still good men in the world! This was a wonderful story, with lessons to learn. It compells you to feel the importance of family, friends (true friends), and especially love. I enjoyed the book immensely.

Summary: This book was well written with lots of surprises.
Review: Once again Eric Jerome Dickey has done an outstanding job. Mr. Dickey knows how to keep the reader's attention. He also does an excellent job relating his story line to real life situations. I'm looking forward to reading the next one which I hope is soon to come out.

Summary: Something to enjoy!!
Review: Milk, is one of those books that make you keep turning the pages and wanting to know where you were going when you turned the page. Kimberly was such a deep sistah that the color of her skin did not matter it was who she had become and why she had become that person that made me want her to end up with Jordan no matter what happened. Jordan was a brotha who just wanted to beloved by a "good" woman. He was as shocked as his brother Darrell was that he was dating and in love with a "white" woman. Dickey did an excellent job telling this story and making the reader go beyond the color of the skin. There were issues with both Kimberly and Jordan that had to be addressed and they were not just black or white.
