Summary: Milk In My Coffee is an exciting and intuitive book.
Review: It brings to light prejudices within the Afo-American community. The characters are true to life and the situations are believable. There are many sub plots that keep the reader glued to the pages. Each plot comes to a satisfactory and surprising conclusion.

Summary: Outstanding!!
Review: The plot twists kept me turning the pages as I waited to see what would happen next. The surprise ending was somewhat predictable but handled well. The characters were far from predictable and very real.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Moving, insightful, candid and passionate (horny!!)
Review: Wow! This book definitely sensatized me to the minds of others. As a jewish white woman from Tennesse (color blind so to speak) dating a black man from NYC who is oh so beautiful and sexy, I related to the book on many levels. EJD tells a sensuous story, one of passion, desire and reality. I will pass this book along to my boyfriend because (as in the book) he certainly has more hangups than I to overcome if our relationship is to succeed. This book has allowed me to become more sensative to a black man's feelings and struggles. I will use it as a tool to be more patient, understanding and communicative. Can't wait for the film. I hope Kimberly is as horny in the movie as she was in the book. YOU GO GIRL! I just hope that Babyface, Tracey, and Oprah let someone else take a crack at a black film. Keep the passion alive!

Summary: A Complex View of Real Relationships
Review: This is by far the best of Eric Jerome Dickey's three novels to date. I am so anxious to get started on "Cheating" which if history repeats itself it will be hotter than summer in Palm Springs. Sounds too good to be true. The characters in MIMC are each so unique, yet they share many commonalities and that is we're all looking for love. Mr. Dickey is so profound and risky as he challenges us to get past the color and race barriers that face us daily. Great Work Mr. Dickey and keep 'em coming!

Summary: this book was awsome.

Summary: Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!
Review: Trust me on this one-- its a winner! Dickey did a fantastic job of transitioning between Jordan and Kimberly and weaving both of their tales together to tell an engaging, original and unpredictable story. His "Kimberly" chapters were so realistic that I often found myself forgetting that they had been written by a man! I applaud Dickey for moving beyond the stereotypical images of black men (and women) white women and interracial relationships that we so often see. This is less a story about interracial relationships than it is about love in all its different manifestations. Kudos to you, Mr. Dickey! I look forward to the sequel!

Summary: This book really helps the reader focus on the big picture.
Review: While reading "Milk in My Coffee", it made me realize even more that relationships are not clear cut or "black and white". The real issues of friendship, compatibility, and excitement are clearly illustrated. Kimberly and Jordan were compatible in every way that is important in a relationship. I think that Eric Dickey did a great job at creating a setting so that you could get around racial issues and the economic issues in order for the reader to see that there is more to people than what meets the eye. He is a wonderful writer.

Summary: Keep it coming..
Review: Milk in my coffee has been a wonderful reading from cover to cover! I'm not your " dedicated " reader but, MIMC had me up late. The characters are/were very " real " and the story just kept building. Friends, family and dedication to self, these were evident while I was reading and these things are all very important. EJD, you ARE amazing. Keep on writing.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: okay, but not as good as friends & lovers
Review: I FOUND THIS BOOK TO BE A GOOD READ. I LOVE EJD'S WORK AND CAN' T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE, SO KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A definite page turner
Review: Mr. Dickey has presented his finest work yet. Like Wally Lamb he captures the essence of women, particularly our ideals of relationships with family and friends. Mr. Dickey also embraces our fears about interracial relationships. This novel is filled with surprises.
