Summary: Entertaining read!
Review: This is an entertaining book to read! Dickey shows great insight regarding the female's emotions. This novel which is about intimacy and relationships really hits home! He knows us so well.....In his down-to-earth style, all of us can relate to his characters. Can't wait for his next one!

Summary: Excellent
Review: I couldn't put the book down. I have enjoyed all of his books equally. But this one should be scene on the big screen. I can't wait for the next one. Keep up the good work.

Summary: Excellent, Intriguing, and Suspenful Novel!
Review: I have read all of Dickey's novels and this is even better than the other two, which I didn't think was possible because I simply loved the others as well. He is a very talented writer and I hope to read more of his work soon. In this book, Milk in My Coffee, I enjoyed reading about the relationship between Kimberly and Jordan. I thought it was enlightening to read of Jordan's innermost thoughts on interracial dating. I appreciated the struggle Jordan had with dating this woman and not wanting to betray his race. Dickey's descriptions of New York almost made me think I was in the Big Apple. I just love the way he portrayed the people down south in Tennessee. As a native of Texas I can certainly understand Jordan's thoughts on being back in the south experiencing the southern hospitality versus being on the east coast where everyone is too busy to speak to one another. I was so enthralled by this book I had to let Mr. Dickey know that his work is not in vain!

Summary: Well-written, touching and (mostly) free of stereotypes
Review: As a white Jewish man living in Memphis (and an NY transplant to boot) and involved with an African-American lady I could relate to this book, and felt that it was warm, touching, and realistic. I gave this book to Danielle because it backed up what I have always said: You, not your family, neighbors, or peers, are in charge of your life and whom you share it with.

Summary: Skillful writing which exposed by pre-judicial tendencies
Review: While I thoroughly enjoyed yet another one of Eric Jerome Dickey's books, I will always remember "Milk in My Coffee" as the one to expose my tendencies to jump to conclusions without having all the facts. Even more, I was not aware I didn't have all the facts. Excellent writing!

Summary: Excellent!!!!!!
Review: This is the absolute best book I ever read! A freind of mines gave it to me and I read it in less than two days. I consider that quite a compliment since I work full time and have two small children. I love the way the action started right in the first chapter. This is a must read!

Summary: I love it, and told everybody BUY THIS BOOK
Review: Eric is such a dynamic writer. I have enjoyed all of his books. This book had some surprises and drama in it that I could not put it down. He actually made me stop, think, take a look at the situation before passing judgements. All I can say is that this book is a must read for the winter. Can't wait for the next one.

Summary: YOU GO BOY!!!!!!!
Review: I must agree with all my fellow customer commentators. This is trully one of the best books I have read in a long, long time! I was getting so sick of reading all those "sister-friend" books and it was refreshing to pick up a book that dealt with other issues that had nothing to do with PMS!! This book is indicative of the author's perception of how we as a society tend to view everything in black and white. Sometimes we fail to appreciate the other colors of life:love, friendship, and family. This book had so many twists and turns, that I consciously anticipated the turn of each page. As an African-American woman, I am guilty of staring and shaking my head whenever I see what appears to be a together brother with a woman of the "caucasian persuasion". Although I still feel that no woman but a good black woman can treat a good black man the way he should be treated and loved, I appreciate EJD's message that all relationships deserve respect no matter what friends and family members say or think about their loved one's relationship choices. Thanks "smooVe" for a fun and thought-provoking book!!

Summary: A realistic twist on interracial relationships
Review: One of the key things I appreciate about Eric Jerome Dickey's writings is that he keeps me entertained. The way that he expresses each character in Milk in My Coffee, you feel as if you could be each character living the experiences in their eyes. I found myself disappointed in Jordan going the white girl route then felt glad he got rid of the Ms. Ghettofabulous. I think he removed the stereotype of the criteria that is usually set in developing that type of relationship and brought it back to two people loving each other despite the color. In my profession which is very stressful, it is refreshing to be able to read outside of yourself and be somebody else at least for 400 pages. Michele one "L"

Summary: Great reading, a real page turner
Review: This book was great, I can't wait for the sequel (I hope there is going to be one). I have to find out what happened to Jordan and Kimberly as well as Solomon and Zoe. This was a great read it had me up till late in the night trying to guess the next turn of events. Praises and much love to Eric Jerome Dickey and his great style of writing. Peace!!
