Rating: Summary: how does he know?! Review: I WAS SKEPTICAL ABOUT READING MILK IN MY COFFEE, JUST ANOTHER BROTHER CHASING A WHITE WOMAN. I THROUGHLY ENJOYED MR DICKEY'S TWO PREVIOUS NOVELS, MILK WAS DA BOMB! HOW DO HE KNOW? I'LL ALWAYS BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR HIS NEXT NOVEL.
Rating: Summary: Really brought my own life into perspective! Review: I bought this book one night and finished it in a few hours. The last 40 pages or so had me in tears and afterward I had to call up my boyfriend just to hear his voice on his machine, since he's in Memphis visiting family. Jordan reminded me of him so much that I couldn't stop thinking about him for the next several hours. I understand exactly how Kimberly felt, being a white woman dating a black man. And the book also offered me an idea of how my boyfriend might feel while we're out together. I loved it!! A definite must read for anyone and everyone.
Rating: Summary: Easy reading and very hard to put down. Review: I really enjoyed this book. It had me guessing and it peaked my interest. I say to you all that he's writes as well as Sidney Shelton and Sandra Brown. I finished this book in just 12 hours (6 hours a day). However I'm not happy with you using God's name in vain. His last name isn't Damn. Other than that I would have given you 5 stars. Thanks for a great story.
Rating: Summary: Milk in My Coffee captured my mind, heart and soul. Review: I'm not a avid reader by any means, but once I started reading Milk In My Coffee I was hooked. I found it hard to put the the book down. The characters seems to be so real and I could relate to everything he was saying. No, I have never been in an interracial relationship, but I have heard some of the same exact things he put in his book. Mr. Dickey comes across so honest and straight forward. I loved everything about this book. Since this was the first one I read I to go back and get the rest. If the other ones are anything like Milk In My Coffee then I know I'm in in for a real treat. I can't say enough about Mr. Dickeys' writing except there's no place to go but up!!
Rating: Summary: I like my men like my coffee...hot, black and strong! Review: Milk in My Coffee approached a very delicate situation that exists in America today... namely interracial dating. This title and topic in itself made me cringe upon reading it. It is not because I condemn interracial dating, I just don't like it. My first thought was "Why is Eric going there?", but once I read the first chapter, I was sprung. The characters are interesting and the storyline yields a few twists which keeps your nose open.mjh
Rating: Summary: A LOVELY MODERN-DAY ROMANCE Review: This book was not as good as Friends and Lovers, but I did enjoy it. Kimberly and Jordan were so genuine that it made their relationship so real. The problems that they had were so true-to-form, it made me wonder if Eric Jerome Dickey has been involved in a interracial relationship. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to read your next blockbuster!!!
Rating: Summary: This book captured my interest and made me think. Review: This book made me question my perceptions of race and the challenges people face. Without giving out too much information, this books' surprise ending made me think a lot about things that I had taken for granted involving interracial relationships.
Rating: Summary: the book was real. because no matter what you see yourself. Review: i thought this book was so good. it was worth taking it from my husband. it really need to be a movie. cause it would make all races think about them selves and how they think about their own heritage.
Rating: Summary: a real page turner!!! Review: There is no way that you can read this book and not read the first two. This book had subjects that no one wants to talk about. The couple in this book had people stopping to take second looks. I enjoyed the way Eric J. Dickey gave all of his characters life in this book " MILK", as well as his other two. I loved the way Jordan loved Kimberly, i loved the way she loved him. Eric showed ways to deal with lies, dishonesty, family, and most of all friendship. Not to mention " getting busy". i met Eric at a book signing and I must say that it was a pleasure to see the man who gave us a reason to ooh and aah, this book had taste for days.
Rating: Summary: When's the next one?????? Review: I've read all of EJD's books and I can't wait for more. This one was really on point with the some of the views about interracial dating. I really saw things through the eyes of Jordan and Kim , excuse me, Kimberly!!!*s* Keep up the good work!!!
