Summary: Excellent reading !
Review: I enjoyed reading this book because it was easy reading. I read it in (2) days, I could not put it down, wandering what was going to happen next in the lives of all these so real people. One minute you think you have it predicted and the next minute you find out to your surprise you were totally wrong. In addition to being entertaining it also gives you something to think about. Though I loved many aspects of this book, my favorite part was the end. I'm a romantic and it was just touching ! My husband bought me this book for my birthday last year and he ended up reading it and really enjoyed it (he's not a book reader, he's a book on tape advocate).

Summary: Great Reading!
Review: I was a bit hesitant at first and was really not sure about how I would react to the interracial thing. This book took me through all the phases. I did not like the character "J'nette" as I thought she was kinda rough around the edges and not a true representation of the black woman. I still can not understand what attracted Jordan to her in the first place. Nevertheless, this is a great book which brings to light our thoughts and feelings on interracial dating.

Summary: An EXCEPTIONAL Book
Review: This was one of the best books that I have read in a very long time. This book was full of surprises and unexpected twists and turns. I was unable to put the book down and read it all in one day. You won't be sorry if you buy this one.

I learned alot aobut race relations with this one. Everything is not what it first appears to be.

Summary: Excellent Book
Review: Eric Jerome Dickey has out done himself by taking interracial dating to another level."MILK"is a great read ,with an excellent ending .This book is not worthy of film or television ,it takes the creative mind of a reader to truly get all that this book has to offer.Keep on writing Eric, you truly have what it takes to entertain and hold your readers to every word.:)

Summary: Don't Read "Sister, Sister" First!
Review: I bought this book without reading the jacket or studying any reviews. I loved Eric's writing in "Friends and Lovers" and "Sister, Sister" so much that I trusted it would be another potpourri of seeing things from a man's perspective and laughing out loud at the actions of the well-written characters. But, I did not enjoy "Milk in My Coffee" as much.

The trip to find his brother was a detractor from the storyline. I hate to skip pages for fear of missing something, but I really struggled to not do that in this chapter. I was so ready for Jordan to get back home and to the business at hand.

The relationship with Kimberly could have been more passionate. Since Jordan was not the interracial dating type, I would assume that he would have had to been over the edge regarding Kimberly. I didn't feel the heat that made him decide to turn his back on his negative thoughts on dating outside one's race.

I didn't really care about any of the characters. They seemed like they would be good guests on the Sally Jesse Raphael Show (not Jerry because they weren't down and out ghetto).

However, I must give Kudos to Eric in the way he slowly developed Kimberly's character regarding her ethnicity. I didn't see that one coming, the element of surprise is a readers best friend.

I will continue to read Eric's work because I believe different times in a writers career spur different writings. This book may have been written in a time that was prosperity was bountiful so the corresponding work may not reflect the need to please and give the audience what they really want. Well Eric, I want to laugh and really feel the characters again. You should get together with your friend Lolita Files and write a book. I would have to go through hell or high water to get that one!

Summary: Mr. Dickey--with all due respect
Review: Eric Jerome Dickey knows his audience and he delivers every time. He writes as if he's sitting on a hissing keg of dynamite, as if every drop of skill will have to be immortalized in every book, as if every book he's working on is going to be his last. I waited too long to post this review. But all things happen in the fullness of time.

Eric, I'm coming out to California on paperback tour this summer. I hope to finally meet you.

Summary: Very intriguing, I couldn't put the book down.
Review: I stayed up until 2 in the morning finishing the last chapters of MIMC. I just could not put it down. I must say it was an intriguing book. I came across this book by accident in the bookstore while looking for another book by another author. What a serendipitous discovery. Keep up the good work. Peace.

Summary: An upbeat novel that is entertaining and enlightning
Review: What really impressed me about this book was Mr. Dickey's approach to the subject of mixed relationships. It was honest and funny as well as being unoffensive and upbeat. Not only did he address a serious subject in an enlightning way he turned into an exciting novel. The journey that Mr. Dickey takes us on is an unpredictable one with many twists and turns. At no point did I feel like an outsider looking in, I was with him all the way.

Summary: Great - couldn't put it down!
Review: I haven't even finished reading this book and I have to give it 5 stars! This is my first Eric Jerome Dickey "experience" and I am truly enjoying it. After reading the chapters with Jordan's exchanges with his brothers (they were too funny!) - I couldn't wait to give my opinion. By the way, I purchased this book through Amazon.com and as soon as I finish (I have about 50 more pages) - I'll be making that search to find Mr. Dickey's other novels!
