Rating: Summary: EJD has the pulse of the characters he creates! Review: Mr. Dickey has the uncanny ability to make his characters leap off the pages of his novels. It's refreshing to find such a unique style of writing that captures, no seizes the imagination. I couldn't put the book down until I had finished!
Rating: Summary: It was an entertaining story! Review: I thought it started out a little weird but I decided to stick with it and I'm glad I did. Dickey's references to New York and Memphis were superb!!! The dialogue between characters was incredibly funny and his similes were on the money. They are great!
Rating: Summary: Spicy Review: This book really grabbed me and held my attention through the whole story. I read this whole book in three days. I love the way that he describes the story because I could feel what they felt and felt as though I knew who they were. I have even gone out and bought all the rest of his books today because I feel that Eric Jerome Dickey is a good author and that I wanted to help and support him by doing that.
Rating: Summary: Milk In My Coffee - give me more!!! Review: I just finished reading Milk In My Coffee and it was fantastic. I have found a new favorite author in Eric Jerome Dickey. I feel the book was true to life concerning interacial relationships and there were lots of twists and turns which kept me going. Good Job Mr Dickey!
Rating: Summary: An insightful look into a "controversial" subject. Review: This book caught my eye in the grocery store. I had never heard of Mr. Dickey. (shame!) I read the first chapter in the store. (trifling!) I had to get it! I got home - started reading it, and could not put it down. I was surprised that this man could "think" like a woman. Pretty much exactly. The other characters were created to assimilate someone YOU know with skill. White, black, Asian, Native American, Man, Woman. Whoever you are - get this book if you wanna good laugh, and a good think about who you are and how you look at this subject. No matter what side of the spectrum you consider yourself to be on, you will get both.I am going to run out and get Cheaters, Sister Sister and Friends and Lovers!
Rating: Summary: This man is a great writer! Review: I truly loved this book! I finished two days ago and I'm still thinking about the characters and wondering what happened to them. You know it's a good book when you feel like you know the characters and you can identify. I enjoyed the book up until the last page...I didn't really like the ending, not as exciting as the rest of the book. I am totally amazed at how well he can write about a woman's feelings. He's fantastic at doing that. This book definitely makes you rethink interracial relationships. I am in one now and I can certainly relate. I must admit that before this relationship I didn't want to pick up the book but now, I'm glad I did. I love his twists and turns and surprises. Eric Jerome is really good at writing compelling characters and keeping his readers on the edge. You are kept wondering "what's going to happen next". When will one of his books be made into a movie??? That's what I'm waiting on. Thanks for a great book EJD. I guess Cheaters is the next book on my list. Keep writing!

Rating: Summary: Real characters, surprising ending.... Review: I finally finished it....It was absolutely marvelous. I'll let anyone be the judge, but never judge a book by it's cover.....
Rating: Summary: Fanstastic or as my son would say, "THE BOMB." Review: Milk in My Coffee is a great book. Mr. Dickey held my attention all through the book. The characters were so real and I definitely like his style. Keep writing these outstanding Novels. I am proud of my African-American Brothers who are coming forth and writing such good work. So I congratulate Mr. Eric J. Dickey and wish him lots of success.
Rating: Summary: Surprising! Review: This book was full of surprises! Very interesting reading. I am really impressed with the way Mr. Dickey explored the feminine point of view and for the most part was dead on key. The characters were easy to relate to. The story line was very interesting. No matter what side of the interracial issue you stand on you could understand and appreciate the characters' point of view. Overall, it was a very GOOD read, leaving me wanting to read the next novel by Dickey.
