Summary: EXCELLENT LOVE STORY!
Review: Milk In My Coffee is a wonderfully written book about a couple from two different worlds. The book is quite similar to a soap opera...there are some parts that you just don't expect to happen!!! It's a very good book if you like stories that are unpredictable. I really think Mr. Dickey is VERY talented and has created a following once dominated by E. Lynn Harris. Get the book! YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Summary: A Must Read !
Review: This book was full of twists and turns that will keep you reading and guessing. Jordan and Kimberly are made for each other and this book takes you deep into their lives. EJD has out done himself with this novel. The conclusion was SmooVe.

Summary: Brilliantly written
Review: What brilliant writting. Dickey took his time to allow the reader to develope a relationship with Jordon first, then later Kimberly and all the other people in their lives. He managed to do that without letting his writing become overcrowded! :)

I particularly liked that fact that it wasn't a 'they fell in love, and more love and more love'. Each character had a LIFE, and other relationships that helped us to identify with the character, and understand the other. As the pages ran out, I was dreading a typical 'wrapped up in each others arms' ending, instead the reader was left to think that this was a REAL relationship that required real effort!

Bravo Bravo Bravo

Summary: Suspence drove me to the next page... Couldn't put it down
Review: This book was sooooo good that I had to get the others. Now I'm on Cheaters, and I just finish reading Friends and Lovers. I have a bad habit of not finishing books and Milk in My Coffee was the first book I actually finished in my whole life and Friends and Lovers is the next. Everybody should go and buy, or borrow this book. Whatever it takes to get -not just this one but all of the ones he wrote. Because they all leave you wanting to read more and more because he is the best writer that I have read since Shel Silverstein's Where the Sidewalk Ends... Buy the book and see for yourself.

Summary: Mind Blowing Experience
Review: I had always prided myself on being open-minded, but didn't realize how little I really knew until I read this book. It made me THINK and question even what I believed were my good intentions. Was never clear on my feelings concerning such (I might integrate, but would I protest my children doing so?) and then I had to take a good long, hard look at ME! Thank you for an eye-opening experience. I would advise *anyone* to read this amusing book. The plot twists concerning who Jordan held near and dear were SO hysterical! I feel Jordan had the ultimate revenge. "You do it to me and I'll do it to you, so to speak..." READ THE BOOK!!! The plot twists are something else and carried me right to the end of the book! But 'ya wanna know something? The ending left me wanting MORE! "C."

Summary: Suspensful read
Review: I have read Sisters and Lovers by this author and I feel he is improving in the area of character development. The main male character and their protagonists are very one-dimensional especially the women. The theme of the spurned woman out to hurt everyone is a bit tired. The book was engaging and the constant twists and turns in the story caught and kept my attention. I would like to see more character development and depth especially with the female characters. They tend to be very shallow.

Summary: RELUCTANT FIVE STARS
Review: FIRST OF ALL, I LOVE ERIC JEROME DICKEY'S WRITING STYLE, AND THAT'S THE REASON I GIVE THIS BOOK FIVE STARS.

THE BOOK AND STORYLINE PROVIDED ME WITH A GOOD READ, BUT I HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THE "CHARACTER ASSASSINATION OF SOLOMON." WHAT HE DID WAS TOTALLY OUT OF CHARACTER. FIRST HE WAS PORTRAYED AS A LOVING FATHER AND ANXIOUS TO BE MARRIED SINGLE MAN, TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH HIS FIANCE. THEN WE TURN AROUND AND FIND A RAPIST. THUS, "CHARACTER ASSASSINATION."

SECONDLY, I HAVE A REAL SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THE FACT THAT THE HEROINE (KIMBERLY) WAS ATTRACTED TO A BLACK MAN TO FULFIL HER HEART'S DESIRE WHILE AT THE SAME TIME DENYING THE SAME BLACKNESS IN HERSELF. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE?

THAT'S NOT REALITY TO ME. IT'S MORE TOKEN TO BEING IN THE CLOSET OF REALITY, HOPING THAT THE DOOR DOESN'T OPEN TO EXPOSE WHO YOU TRULY ARE, IN THIS CASE, A SISTER DENYING "SISTERHOOD."

I'M IN THE PROCESS OF READNG "CHEATERS" AND HOPE TO FIND THE CHARACTERS MORE IN LINE WITH THEIR IDENTITY AND RACE.

THIS STORY DEFINITELY DOES NOT SAY TO US "I'M BLACK AND I'M PROUD," AT LEAST FROM THE HEROINE KIMBERLY'S VIEWPOINT

Summary: ERIC JEROME DICKEY OUT DID HISSELF AGAIN
Review: This book is filled with so many surprises. It is a must read. Mr. Dickey blow my mind once again. I can't wait to read CHEATERS.

Summary: The REAL Thing!
Review: I knew nothing about EJD when I grabbed this paperback before beginning a 15 hour car ride. What a wonderful surprise to immediately be sucked into the lives of Jordan and Kimberly. These characters are so real I could smell them. Anyone who can't relate to this book, well... they just ain't "SmooVe"! ;)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Could relate!
Review: I loved this book because I could relate to it, and it was the only book I have read so far that portrays an interracial relationship realistically without being negative.
