This book included everything the ignorance of racism, romance, friendship, family. This is a MUST READ! Summary: How 'bout I like my "Coffee Black"
Review: Me, being a STRONG,DYNAMIC,ATTRACTIVE BLACK WOMEN, I personally did not appreciate the way the characterization of these characters were betrayed. I'm mean refering to the way the African American Women were made to look..... SCANDALOUS!! I thought it was unfair to exploit the women in the manner they were exploited. Wherefore, Ms. Kimberly had drama yes indeed, but her character wasn't nearly as trifling as these sistahs were made to look. We as black women are "stereotype" as it is, it doesn't take a novel to demostrate that. Due to the fact, that Mr.Eric Jerome Dickey is a brotha I would have expected a little more class for the chacterzation of the sistah's characters in the book. Now, every race has issues, skeletons in the closet, but I just didn't applaud the strereotyping in this novel. Considering this is my first time reading a novel by "Dickey", everyone deserves a second chance. So I'll be reading "Sister, Sister" starting now. Hopefully, Mr. Dickey can redeem himself with this novel. And for the record a "Sistah" can make SWEET MELODY will the rhythm of body in a "LOVE SESSION" anytime.....and yes the man will be just that ...her man!!!! So, readers (those that are the opposite of the SISTAHS) don't believe the hype, lovemaking with a Sistah is just a nice !!

Review: Lot's of surprises.whenever I thought I knew the outcome of a particular subplot, there would be a surprising twist. I couldn't put this book down. I have just ordered all his other books. This man can write!!!!

Review: My first read of Eric Jerome Dickey and was very pleased (no likes a bad book)! I finished it in two days -- could not put it down. I could relate so much, having been in an interracial relationship myself for several years! I absolutely loved Jordan and Kimberly -- and you could just tell how cute Kinniki was! I will read Mr. Dickey's other creations for sure! Maybe we will see a "Milk in My Coffee Part II" (although, I think it should be Sugar in My Coffee!

I have since read his other two books which were also excellent and I am about to buy his newest book, Cheaters, which I am sure will be excellent also.
