Summary: No coffee needed to stay awake for this one!
Review: This is the first book I have read of Eric Jerome Dickey's, and I was not disappointed in the least. In fact, this is one of the best novels I have read in a very long time. The book captures you in the first few chapters, and by then I was just hooked. I couldn't put it down. Each chapter he has a new surprise ready to spring on you. There were more than a few times when various things were revealed that totally took me off guard, and he does this right up until the very end. The character development is the best I have ever seen. The way he could place you into the mind of Kimberly, Jordan, and their friends, you would swear this was a real life story. Each character's colorful personality just jumps out off the page at you.

I also think that it is nice that someone wrote a positive novel about an interracial subject matter. It would be good to see more of this from authors like Eric, because this is a point of view that is rarely seen. I think he did a good job showing the reality of the hostile world from blacks and whites when it comes to this issue, but also making this an unforgettable love story. If you are even slightly considering reading this book, don't consider any longer. READ IT! You won't be sorry.

Summary: A great read
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I like the way the author explored the relationship between Kimberly and Jordan in-depth. The storyline was very interesting and kept me hooked. I liked this book a lot more than "Cheaters" and look forward to more books like this written by Dickey. He's a really good writer.

Summary: Tastes better than Starbucks
Review: This book was great. It allowed you to be on the inside looking out instead of the outside looking in. I was a woman who wasn't to fond of a strong black man with a white woman, but after reading Milk in my Coffee, I realized love can be found anywhere. I commend Jordan and Kim for overcoming the stares and the sneers and believing love would see them through. You Go Mr. Dickey, the book was extremely well written and witty.

Summary: Was Feeling this!
Review: on the suggestion of my new boss, i picked this book up and couldn't put it down. I literally laughed out loud at the characters, and loved the way EJD's description of the locales, and dialogues were right on point. It's like he was inside the minds and hearts of all the characters that he wrote about. I mean, i could closely identify with the characters, especially KIM although I'm not biracial or anything like that. Also, EJD wrote a good story, and i liked how he fleshed out his characters, and how he used "self-denial" with his male characters. If you like a good read, and wanna read something totally different (that will surprise you, then you need to pick up) this book.

Summary: Good Read
Review: This is the second book by this author I have read. The first, Cheaters, was written after this book, and I thought it was even better, so I guess this author just keeps improving..

I was concerned at first that this would be a novel about racial issues. While race was a topic, it never became overbearing or preachy.

This book is fun, romantic, fast-paced and a great page-turner. I really enjoyed the characters and was happy for a little (ok, alot!) escapism.....

Summary: GOOD, BUT CHEATERS WAS BETTER
Review: I ENJOYED MIMC, HOWEVER CHEATERS WAS A LOT BETTER. IT'S NOT ABOUT WHY AFRICAN-AMERICAN MEN CHOSE TO DATE WHITE WOMEN BUT THE THINGS THAT HAPPEN OR COULD HAPPEN IN AN INTERRACIAL COUPLE'S RELATIONSHIP.

Summary: Good Book
Review: Milk in My Coffee was a pretty good book, although I felt that in a way it was not very realistic. I like Eric Jerome Dickey's style and I think he is a very good writer. I have purchased two of his other books after I read Milk in My Coffee but I haven't had a chance to read them yet. If you believe in out-of-the-ordinary love stories, this book is definitely the one for you.

Summary: This book is "Smoove!"
Review: I spotted the catchy title and attractive book cover while looking for a book to read and pass some time away. I did not know what to expect but decided to give "Milk in My Coffee" a try. I was pleasantly surprised as I read the first couple of pages. After the first chapter, I was definitely hooked to the storyline and each of the characters until the very end.

I enjoyed Mr. Dickey's writing style. I was engrossed by the characters who were believable, appealing and non stereotypical. The more I read, the more I was surprised or delighted by the characters.

After reading "Milk in My Coffee," I was compelled to look for other books written by Dickey. I'm glad I found them!

Summary: Very Good
Review: This was my third book writtem by Eric and at first I was not going to read it because of the cover. I am so glad that I did not follow my first mind. This book was very good. It was a little different from the others but I truly enjoyed it.

We sometime tend to pre-judge people by there skin color and take an instant dislike to them. The book lets you know that you may be surprised of a person's background once you get to know them.

Jordan and Kim had to think for themselves before they could move on.

If you read the WHOLE book you will be happy that you did. But what more could you expect from a talented (fine)male writter.

Summary: Job well done....
Review: I really enjoyed this book. It was the first of his books for me so I didn't go into with any high or low expectations. But I did come out of it vowing to read ALL of his books. This book held my attention to the VERY end. What I liked most about the book was the fact that when you read the title, you automatically assume,"Oh just another book about an interrracial relationship". But in the end, boy did he give more than just what I expected. I enjoyed the book and I enjoy him, Eric Jerome Dickey, as a writer. I wish him much success.
