Rating: Summary: Sadder by Force Review: This book had to be the saddest of them all due to the subject nature and the story line. However, Henderson did a great job guiding her readers through their grief.
Rating: Summary: Great Book!! Review: This book is probably one of or my favorite out of the O'Malley series so far! I would recommend it to everyone - others have said that the numerous characters are hard to follow so it is probably easier to read the series starting at the beginning, but this book is also great standing on its own! Other books I'd recommend are: By Dee Henderson: Danger in the Shadows (the prequel to the O'Malleys that is also amazing)and the whole O'Mally Series. By Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins: the Left Behind Series.
Rating: Summary: Not very impressive Review: This books venutures into the genres of romance, thriller, and mystery, set against a Christian background. It might have been good, but simply includes too many characters and plotlines. The story veres from a flood, to a romance, to sister dealing with cancer, to a school shooting. As each new even occurs, the emotional impact lessons. Fans of the genre will enjoy it, but it probably won't make their "favorites" list.
Rating: Summary: Dee Handerson Rules!! Review: This is an awesome book! And every single other Dee Henderson book is just as good! But if I was to pick ONE for you, then it would be DANGER IN THE SHADOWS. It's the best!! I recommend these books to everyone! They really do rule.
Rating: Summary: Good read. Review: This time the story focused mainly on Rachel O'Malley, a trauma psychologist, and Captain Cole Parker, a fireman. One of Rachel's old patients witnessed a murder and then disappeared. Marcus, Quinn, and Lisa help with the investigation. A flood had surged through the area, making the task difficult. As the community began to pull itself together, a school shooting occurred. Worse, there was a lin from the school tragedy to the murder. Rachel and Cole stay busy as they try to help so many grieving people. At the same time, though, the O'Malley family was going through their own rough time. Jennifer was dying. *** Unlike the others of the series, this book focused a lot on depression. That was inevitable considering Rachel's profession. However, in my opinion, there was far too little joy in the story. I found myself having to take long breaks from reading for fear it would spill over into my personal life. Therefore, I read a couple other books (during my long breaks) to counter all the gloom. Author Dee Henderson showed remarkable talent in the writing since I ended up reacting that way. I FELT the moods of the characters and cared deeply for them. Yet I can only hope that the next book in the O'Malley series (Stephen's story) will be more upbeat. ***
Rating: Summary: She does it again! Review: This was another excellent book -- once started it was very hard to put down.
Rating: Summary: Balance of Miracle and Death Review: What a fantastic book! This entire series is outstanding, but this one is the best yet. The O'Malley family struggles with the fallout from a school shooting. Weaving into that story is Jennifer suffering in her last stages of cancer. The family faces the most difficult situation of praying for God to work a miracle as well as praying for a peaceful end. You'll find a master in Dee Henderson.
Rating: Summary: The Healer--The story of Rachel O'Malley Review: WOW! What an exceptional story. I have fallen in love with the O'Malley's. I don't know how to put into words what an affect this book had on me. It was amazing. Rachel had to deal with not only the healing of others, but the healing of her wounds as well. Things come out in this book about the O'Malley's and how the family got started as they all try to prolong their time with Jennifer. This book will leave you with an empty box of tissues. After reading this book, you will want to give your siblings an extra long hug and remind them that you love them.
Rating: Summary: Awesome Story Review: Wow!! This book was great, plenty of action, romance and faith to entertain the average reader. A pure page turner from beginning to end. I love the O'Malley Series, each book is great and has a personally of it's own. I can't wait until the next O'Malley book is out.
Rating: Summary: Shelf Keeper Review: You will not want to be interupted when you get your hands on 'The Healer', the latest of the O'Malley Family Series. It was wonderful to be back with the entire family. They stick together through thick and thin.......laughter and tears. Rachel is having to deal with crisis which is her job,but also in her family life as well. Plus she has a budding relationship with.....well,you will have to read it for yourself. This series is a 'shelf keeper'.
