Summary: very educating on the things we humans learned to forget.
Review: After reading this book, I was extremely inspired. Although Redfield is not in my opinion the most intelligent writer, his story is. He has served a much greater purpose; wheather the story is true or created, we still walk away with the same mass of raw trueth. We as humans have forgotten alot; this is simply an awakening of basic humanity.

Summary: the Celestine Prophecy is very challenging spiritually !
Review: I found the Celetine Prophesy very challenging both spiritually and intellectually ! The author hit me square "between the eyes" the question of why I am on this Earth while painting a story against a vivid backdrop of adventure from the rain forests of South America to the peaks of the Andes ! The visual imagery is spectacular but the awakening of all of the senses of smell, touch, hearing is surpassed by the awakening of one's spiritual conciousness ! A must read ! ! ! to my fellow adventurers . . . fond readings ! Frank Ko

Summary: ABSOLUTELY SPELLBOUNDING
Review: I found this book to be a remarkable piece of art, stumbled upon by accident. I have never quite read a book that left you thinking about it's context with such depth and wonder. I find myself living in parallel with the story as if it were not a work of fiction! It really allows you to see the beauty of nature, family and life. If you want adventure that places you within the depths of a story, then you found the right one.

Summary: Excellent Book!!!
Review: The book is an excellent follow-up to the The Celestine Prophecy and helps the reader totally grasp the nine insights. I also recomend reading the Tenth, because living without it and only with the nine, your life is not complete. May your energy be high.

Summary: Evil
Review: The Celestine Prophesy, James Redfield. A manuscript (Redfield uses a capital 'm') written in Aramaic 900 years ago and newly-discovered at a Peruvian archaeological dig, is suppressed by the Catholic Church via its control of the government. The tablet's nine "insights" are slowly revealed to the reader. This fiction was and is promoted with the subtle implication that the psycho-mystical occurrences in the story can be fact in our lives. Its words claim a godliness of purpose. Yet its inference is clearly focused on the self and is very denigrating of Christianity in general, and the Catholic Church in particular. It presents to those who have abandoned the major religions, that a "New Way" has come to put meaning & insight back into life: Visualization of nice material things gets them for you, meditation on human one-ness with the universe brings peace, and acceptance of any non-violent practice of life nurtures both the soul (a physical energy field) and a slowly self-perfecting society. On the last page, Mr. Redfield offers to interpret one's sun & moon sign for thirty bucks and solicits subscription to a New Age newsletter for another thirty. Most other reviews of this novel are quite negative. The reader loses the adventure fantasy because the author intrudes into the story with forced, instructive dialog and pedantic narration. This book is a historically-significant example of New Age literature and everyone should identify it first-hand for what it is. Mr. Redfield, realizing that P.T. Barnum was correct, hopes you'll buy his "enlightening" sequel, entitled The Tenth Insight (hardcover or paperback available). All CP believers who feel I've mean-spiritedly characterized them as gullible & misguided should recall the ancient insight: If the shoe fits... And yet, in compassion, it must be recognized that the search for insight is like the search for water in a vast green forest: You know water is there somewhere but could die of thirst searching on the wrong paths. Almost two thousand years ago a man, Who stands now always at your side, offered a path to water which quenches eternally. Drink and live

Summary: This book actually saved my life.
Review: These insights were things that I was trying to express for a very long time. It explained all of the people in my life and what they tried to do to me.

Summary: extremely eye opening and valuable in everyday life
Review: this book changed my life. i use examples fom it in everyday life and i have opened my eyes to many other ideals as well. it is like a book that keeps you on your toes, and when ever i refer it to others, they go out and get it. its like a chain reaction. a must have! everything happens in life for a reason, there are no coincidences!!!!

Summary: Very enlightening content poorly written in a New-Age daze.
Review: This book is heralded by some to be the new artifact that has the answers to life. Whatever! Though the content is worth the reading and contemplation, do not be mislead by the motives of the author. This is yet another piece of New-Age material that too many trees have been wasted on.

There is a real message in the book that I believe Redfield happened to stumble upon by accident, or perhaps he heard of true spiritual accounts and tried to immitate them in this book. Keep your wits about you, and be discerning. He should have left these lessons to be taught by those who have had these experiences, or to a real author, who would have put the information across much, much more effectively.

As I said before, find the truth in the book, because it is worth the few bucks, but do it only if you are able to ignore the money-making scheme of it.

Summary: A True Classic
Review: This is Redfields' original, fresh, thought-provoking classic. I hope in the future he can write other new original stories.
