Summary: You gotta like Wilford
Review: A well written mystery. If you like Wilford Brimley, whom the protaganist is based on, and you like mystery's, you'll enjoy this book. A well written, yet, average mystery.

Recommended for Wilford Brimley fans.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Beauford in Top's
Review: Beaford Sloan is going to be one of the best PI's in the busniess.

Summary: Here's the review from Library Journal:
Review: Police and the FBI are baffled when unknown villains "capture" an armored truck, dump it into the Potomac, kill its guards, and abscond with a fortune in diamonds: a search turns up one body but no truck. Hired to bring some resolution to the case, retired police detective (and Wilford Brimley look-alike) Beauford Sloan and his P.I. partner Sally locate the truck, thus antagonizing both FBI agents and the villains, who make their presence known through surveillance, assault, and murder. Foreign diplomats and swanky hotel connections add spice to this suspenseful, event-filled, and strongly focused plot. An outstanding first thriller by screenwriter and television director Austin.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Action, suspense and Beauford Sloan.
Review: Raymond Austin's EAGLE HEIST, is a roller coaster ride, once you are on it you can't (you won't want to) get off! Action, suspense, crafty plotting with plenty of twists, sharply drawn characters, what else could a reader want? Except maybe a bit of sex, and there is that too! From a man who has spent much of his life conquering the visual medium, and now looks set to take on the literary one too. Brian Clemens, Writer and producer of Perry Mason, Highlander II and many others TV shows.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Director, now writer.
Review: Raymond Austin directed some of the best Magnum PI. Now he's turned his hand to books. I have to tell you, he has my vote. Austin's Beauford Sloan is older than Magnum, but he's going to be one of the bestlike PI's in the busniess. Good work Raymond

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Likable Beauford Sloan. A new PI
Review: Beauford is going to be perhaps the most likble PI in the business. Austin up until now has kept himself in the TV world. This his first novel will change that. Hope it makes it to the screen. Andy Fellows
