Summary: unstoppable, breath-taking, filled with vivid details!!!
Review: this work by john grisham proved that even if one is already successful in his chosen career, the interrelationship of the real one from the imagined will bridge the way to a larger horizon. i have read so many books in my entire life and this one is really unstoppable. make way for a new real great author. the details were so rich and vivid, the character seemed to be breathing at your neck. john grisham could be compared in the likes of frederick forsyth, leon uris, robert ludlum, arthur hailey, harold robbins and sidney sheldon.

Summary: Grishams first try as a writer is a page turning suspense.
Review: John Grisham, a small town lawyer from Oxford, Mississippi, catapults himself onto the bestseller list with the story of an ambitious young lawyer who joins a small firm only to realize that their mob connections could lead to his death. Read as Mitch McDeere, a Harvard graduate, lives a life of mystery, death, and security in a Memphis law firm.

Summary: A Great Read
Review: The Firm is not great literature, but that is not what it was meant to be (I hope). It's a good story, and for the most part, well told. There are some drawbacks: The characterization is rather weak, and I don't believe that there is a 25 year old kid alive, no matter how brilliant, who could succeed in outsmarting both the FBI and the Mafia. Additionally, the ending is typical Grisham: anticlimactic and unbelievable. What set Grisham apart - and fueled his popularity - when he wrote The Firm was his ability to tell a good story without profanity, gratuitous sex or graphic violence. Too bad he's lately become the embodiment of political correctness. John Grisham would do well to return to the formula that made him so popular.

Summary: Great book!!!!!
Review: I may only be 13 years old but I loved The Firm. It had a great plot and realistic characters and a realistic setting. It help my attention through all 500 pages. John Grisham wrote another great book. I think that this book deserves a movie more than The Rainmaker. The plot unfolded fast and held the readers attention from page 1 through page 500. I would encourage anybody who like a good book with a realistic setting to read The Firm.

Summary: BOOK OR MOVIE
Review: I found that the book by John Grisham was much better than the movie. The movie cut out a lot of important detail and also changed the plot around. The book is about a man who has just finished law school and is looking for a job in a firm. He gets the job, but the real story comes later.

Summary: Awful
Review: I think Grisham took a word processor, smeared banana on its keyboard, then put it in a locked room with a chimpanzee. The chimpanzee then proceeded to hit the keys when trying to get at the smeared banana...and this is the book that resulted. There is no other explanation for so bad a book having been written, much less published. I hope that chimpanzee got a cut of the royalties.

Summary: Great start, good middle...
Review: I read "The Firm" at the height of its popularity and felt as if I were a player in the old tale of "The Emperor's New Clothes". It starts out well - I was hooked. The middle had some nice twists, but then it really sagged about 2/3 of the way through. Am I the only one that found holes in Grisham's story? The chase up and down the coast was boring at best and the ending... well, a little hard to believe after having been convinced of the protagonist's incredible drive to succeed and be recognized.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PUT THIS BOOK DOWN
Review: I loved this book, it was very suspenseful and the movie does not do any justice to the book. I would suggest to read this as opposed to watching the movie. He is a fantastic writer
