Rating: Summary: I really enjoyed The Firm by John Grisham. Review: I really enjoyed The Firm. I am currently in high school, but reading this book allowed me to look into the life of lawyers and gives me a much better understanding of what they really do for a living. Now, I think I may even become a lawyer! I am also interested in reading more of John Grisham's books. o:)
Rating: Summary: A very good & entertaining book! Review: This was the first book by John Grisham that I've read and I must say it was worth it. The storyline is original and we can sympathize with the book's main character. I would definitely recommend this to all book lovers.
Rating: Summary: What? Grisham had no way to end this? Review: This is a very good, smart story. However, when the bad guys start to close in on our hero, he runs away from the guys who are protecting him, the FBI. This is a crazy ending to a rather good book.
Rating: Summary: Unorigional Review: The first time you read The Firm, it's so exciting you skim over pages to get to the end. But take it from me -- if you really want to respect John Grisham, don't read it a second time. If what you're looking for is action-packed excitement it's great. But if you're looking for a suspenseful, intriging, mind-bending, book keep on looking. You don't really feel as if you're part of the action; you feel like a casual bystander looking on, which I don't especially like. You feel no compassion for the lead character, so when he's in trouble, you yawn. The ending is -- at best -- unorigional. My best tip: By the paperback version. You'll want to toss it after the first read.
Rating: Summary: It's an excellent book!! Review: An excellent book which teaches a lot about own respect and honesty. I am an English teacher in a South American country and I am convincing my director to have it read by our 12th grade students. It will be great for them. I also have the movie and it's very good too. The only thing I don't get it is why they changed the end of the story.
Rating: Summary: Fast paced thrilling read Review: From start to finish The Firm was full of surprises and suspense which made for an action packed read. The storyline was great and kept you glued to the book. By far one of the best books to come from Grisham.
Rating: Summary: The Firm was a book that I could not stop reading Review: The Firm is so exciting John Grisham leaves you hanging on each chapter and you just can't stop reading it until your eyes get tired. I hope that John Grisham makes a sequel for it. I know I would buy it on its first day of sales.
Rating: Summary: A fast read Review: A Grisham classic! It may not be the best legal thriller out there, but it's the most fun to read.
Rating: Summary: This book broke the rating scale. Review: I think this book is really good. It has a lot of turns and twists to the plot. It's so exciting. When you read the book you would think the pages turn themselves. The book is about, A lawyer and is wife which move to Memphis, Tennesee, so the lawyer could go into the big law firm. After awile being in this firm is people turn on him in a evil way. This book is one of my favorites. Two thumbs way up high.
Rating: Summary: A Fast Paced book with lots of action Review: "The Firm" is a fast paced thriller with plenty of action. The plot draws you in and the characters keep you wanting more as the book unfolds. The book is a pleasure to read and nearly impossible to put down, perhaps be the fastest 500 paged book to date. Grisham certainly lives up to his reputation and it is easy to see how he got it. If you like thrillers then this is a must read book.
