Rating: Summary: Loved it! Review: I saw some other reviews where people said they liked her other books better. This is my favorite Dee Henderson book. I have all of them, but this is the one I like the best. I loved the story and the glimpse into the lives of people in the military. I also really liked how religion is not a heavy handed theme but gracefully woven into the story. The characters' belief helps them to put their lives at risk. It made me personally want to thank all those men and women who serve their country so bravely. And I absolutely loved Bruce's letters. Some reviews didn't like Jill and Wolf's story getting almost equal attention. I liked that. They were interesting characters. I like how Dee Henderson lets you get a full picture of her characters' lives.

Rating: Summary: What a great author (not to mention a great book) Review: I've said it before, and I'll say it again--Dee Henderson is amazing! She makes Christian fiction so exciting to read. When I'm looking for a book that has adventure, romance, plot twists, and spiritual depth, I look no further than a Dee Henderson book. True Valor was DEFINITELY not an exception to this rule. Grace Yates, a Navy fighter pilot, and Bruce Stanton, an Airforce Pararescueman, were fantastic characters and their story was so sweet. They are both on tours of duty, so they write letters back and forth about God, the military, and their growing devotion to one another. When Gracie is injured, Bruce has to go into a war-stricken zone to get her out alive. The romance aspect of the story was great, but there's plenty of action for those not-so-mushy types. And the spiritual aspect just hit me right square in the gut. The author has a deep relationship with God and it shows. I loved this book, and I can't wait for the next one!
Rating: Summary: A good sequel Review: It was great to watch the budding romance of Wolf,Jill,Bruce, and Gracie. We heard a little about Joe "Bear" and Kelly, but I wanted more!!! I found myself having difficulty reading through the military jargon and trying to stay w/ the plot, though. I had to skip sections at time wondering 'what just happened?' But, it is still a good read. The romance and overall plot of True Devotion is much better, though.
Rating: Summary: Dee Henderson rocks! Review: Lieutenant Grace "Gracie" Yates was one of the best naval aviators. Therefore, she was chosen for one of the toughest assignments. She found herself going down behind enemy lines and knew she must survive until help arrived. Air Force Pararescue Major Bruce "Striker" Stanton was also one of the best. For over twelve years he had been pulling pilots and Special Forces soldiers from behind enemy lines. Bruce and Grace often wrote to each other, since they were posted far apart. When Gracie went down, Bruce went to work! ***** Dee Henderson has earned a special place on my book shelf! Her stories honor the nation's true heroes. (Firefighters, military, law enforcement, and medical personal are some examples.) Once again the author plunges her characters into danger to show how love and faith can get people through even the worst of times. Gracie and Bruce seemed almost alive to me. I hated to see the novel end. I can only hope Dee Henderson's next novel is released quickly. She cannot seem to write quickly enough for me! Highly recommended! ***** Reviewed by Detra Fitch
Rating: Summary: superb relationship tale inside a strong military thriller Review: Lieutenant Grace Yates is a combat fighter pilot assigned to the USS George Washington, presently sailing in the Mediterranean Sea. Since her boyfriend was killed two years ago, Grace has closed herself off from a serious relationship, not wanting to bear that pain again. She does not realize that there is a man she is acquainted with who intends to make her change her mind by slowly and gently wooing her. Air Force Pararescuer, Major Bruce Stanton spent almost his entire military career pulling downed pilots out of enemy territory before they are captured. After he almost loses his life in a top-secret mission, Bruce has an epiphany and realizes what is really important in life. He has deep feelings for Grace but he must go slowly if he is to win her. He starts by writing her a letter, which she responds to. Before long both are looking forward to each other's correspondence. When they are stationed stateside, they make time to explore their relationship and by the time both are returned to combat zones, they know what they feel for one another is deep, true and everlasting.
Although TRUE VALOR is a very intense and beautiful relationship drama, it is also an action-packed military thriller with some stunning aerial scenes. Dee Henderson has written a novel that will appeal to both genders especially those readers who relish a cleverly interweaving of action, adventure and romance. Harriet Klausner
Rating: Summary: Another winner for Dee Henderson!!! Review: Set aside a couple of nights when you can plan on staying up late --- you won't be able to put this one down easily. I've read all of Dee Henderson's books, and each one is a keeper. This one will have you on the edge of your seat, and the incredible combination of "you are there" action, deep friendships, and two couples growing in rock-steady relationships is written as only this lady can deliver. Thanks, Dee --- the wait for the next one is always hard, but WOW! do you ever make it worth it!!! P.S. Don't hesitate to share this series with your boyfriend or husband. They'll be hooked!
Rating: Summary: It was Ok Review: The story starts out slow or perhaps it's because it was so much about the military. As the story goes on it gets better. I have read better books by Dee Henderson. Her O'Malley Series is Awesome, and Danger In the Shadows was also great.
Rating: Summary: WOW!!! Review: This book is excellent! I find myself wanting to thank the men and women who keep me safe at night without me even asking. My only complaint with the book would be when the two finally kiss. I have read the book twice within the week. The letters tell so much about the characters and what they are thinking. I almost feel like part of the family after reading two books with some of the same characters in it (I also read True Devotion). Get this book, sit on the couch, and enjoy watching God work!!
Rating: Summary: An awesome read that you won't be able to put down! Review: This book is soo good. I have read it like 4 times. Once you start it you won't be able to stop. I love all of Dee Henderson's books, but this one is really really good. I reccomend all of her books. Please get this book. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
