Rating: Summary: Delightful for young children Review: I love this Bible for my 3 year-old; she "reads" it in bed in the evening with the tape, by herself. She knows when to turn the page. The stories are easy to understand, the songs are fun. The short (2 sentences?) of Scripture and the wonderfully short and age-appropriate prayer pull the "lesson" together.

Rating: Summary: Our favorite young children's Bible Review: There's a lot here for about [the money]. Each section includes one brief Bible story, one corresponding song, one very brief scripture passage, and a short prayer. The illustrations are simple; they're cute but not nauseating. If you're familiar with the black and white illustrations that usually appear in the Wee Sing songbooks, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the colored illustrations here. Children read the whole book, not just the songs, on the tape. A few things to note: the tape does not use a bell or other audio signal to tell children to turn the page. Nevertheless, my son (a beginning reader) was able to stay on the right page. Many of the songs (but not all) are the same as those on the tape/CD of Wee Sing Bible Songs, so if you have that tape, not all this material will be new. Also, the lyrics of the songs aren't written out in the book. My son listened to the tape and followed along in the book from start to finish--then he rewound the tape and started from the beginning again. He has also started talking more about God and being more creative in his evening prayers since we got this. He is an audio learner, and hearing these passages has made a greater impact on him than just reading them would The book and cassette are attractively packaged, and the book includes a "presented to...by..." page. This would make a very nice gift. We own three or four books of Bible stories, and this is the best.
