Summary: I wish Bill could have his say as well...
Review: Well,y'know,we all have our opinions and jokes about the 'Monica' thing but here goes mine. I believe that Monica Lewinsky was in love with Bill Clinton but that this type of love was a bit childish.Infatuation is a word that springs to mind but then again,so does immaturity. This was not her only affair with a married man,she had actually done this sort of thing before.I have no respect for women ( or men) who play the part of the 'other' person and I doubt that the Monica has any self respect either. Anyone with a shred of decency would walk away from this situation no matter how hard it seems. But the sad fact is,is that Monica Lewinsky is a selfish cow that has not only brought scandal to America but has humiliated Hilary Clinton as well. The book comes across as fairly well written but paints a picture of a 'poor lonely waif desparately in love 'with a married man. There will always be times when you come into these sort of situations but the least selfish and decent of us will find the strength to walk away. Anyone who loves gossip will like this book.Anyone who hates juvenile women will hate it.Simple.

Summary: TALES FROM the OVAL OFFICE or IF WALL COULD WRITE
Review: If walls could write stories, this would have been a more interestingly written tome. MONICA'S STORYs' dispassionate tone suggest that the author was trying to protect Monica by cleverly presenting the tale as if nothing sexually exciting took place between her and the president; or the author is merely a gallant gentleman who came forward to give hope and support to a suffering young woman who had made several silly mistakes that had caught up with her and was giving her a public chastisement she and the world will long remember.

Regardless what the author's intent, he managed to produce a profoundly BORING BOOK. I highly recommend it to insomniacs who have counted every sheep in the galaxy. It works better than Nembutal, guaranteed! Hopefully, this experience has taught this young lady that she can't have everything she wants and that she better stop wanting other women's husbands.

Summary: FASCINATING LOVE STORY!
Review: After reading this book, I realized what tremendous courage it took for her to write about her juicy affair with our President. The details are so good that I may read it again just to get it all.I hope that this affair paves the way for more Soap Opera type scandals in the White House, it will make the 21st century a great time for our country to stand tall. This is what change is all about. It will be refreshing to read Monica's name in the history books of the future next to Bill Clinton's.It is a legacy all future presidents can strive for.

Summary: She needs to stop scapegoating everything.
Review: I had to do a report at school on this book; so I know a little something about it. In this book she would scapegoat everything. It says that at a wedding she didn't want to wear her dress a certain way, so that's why she is so demanding. I mean COME ON....GEEZ.... what is up with that. But out of all the blaming I do reccomend it.

Summary: The inside story of the scandal of the decade
Review: I was surprised by this book. I was expecting a rehash of the details of this most bizarre of relationships. Instead, Andrew Morton managed to get to the woman behind the public persona and reveal a touching, complex, and honest profile of Monica. By the end of the book, I had readjusted my opinion of the whole affair - and realised that, President or pauper, human emotions are the greatest leveller. This book is not just juicy scandal - it's a love story. I highly recommend it.

Summary: I think it took a lot of courage to write this book.
Review: I thought that this book was great. The press has bashed Monica for so long not know how she has felt and this gives her a way to speak out.

Summary: Honest Insight From the Woman Who Changed US History
Review: From grade school through the impeachment debacle, Monica lets readers into the innermost reaches of her mind, recounting, in detail, her feelings as her private life was being played out the world's stage. The reader becomes keenly aware that Monica is much, much more than the "Portly Pepperpot" as she was deemed in the tabloids. Rather, she is a human being with the same frailties that we all deal with. The book is a definite page-turner and a good read.

Summary: Get on your knees...
Review: This book left TONS of juicy details out of the book. We didnt read it for the story, we read it for...well you know. Well I hope there is a director's cut version of it coming out soon that will include everything.

Summary: Good points, Bad points
Review: I found this book an interesting read. The acts of the OIC and Linda Tripp were fascinating -- imagine going through an emotional crisis, confiding in someone, only to discover later that your friend has been secretly taping you for months! Also interesting was the way that either the OIC and Linda Tripp distorted the story -- helped, in a large part, by the media. In addition, Clinton, with all those phone calls, played a larger role in the "affair" than we realized, although he was certainly not as interested as Monica realized.

But I have some problems with Morton's sweeping generalizations. He characterizes Monica as "honest". I do think she is warm-hearted, but honest?

Monica needs to stop defining her entire self-worth in terms of relationships with others -- particularly married men! And if she does decide to continue this sort of behavior, she should truly not talk about it, instead of telling all her closest friends, and telling Clinton she hasn't told a soul.

Actually, when you think about it, she and Clinton both "betrayed" each other. Clinton could not satisfy Monica's deepest emotional needs (although no one could, because she is far too needy) and she did not satisfy his main requirement of secrecy.

Summary: Enlightening
Review: I didn't know this was a commonplace activity. However, as I am 73 and one of the older generation, all I can say is I am glad I bought the book. I enjoyed it. I now have an entirely different opinion of her. The proof readers missed correct spelling for 'woman' (they let 'women' slip by them) on line 16, page 269. With Monica's education, she would be abashed at that. I hope she has a beautiful healthy future because if anybody deserves one, she does. As for recommendations, I see a large-print edition coming out. I would recommend that to those with any vision problems. The photographs are beautiful!! Have a nice day!! Your Texas customer.
