Rating: Summary: Stunning! Review: Being a devoted Amanda Quick fan, I've decide to look up all her many incarnations. I decided on _Trust Me_ as my first foray into her titles written as Jayne Ann Krentz and was well pleased with the selection. The characters in this book are amazing -- every single one of them! Desdemona is one of the best romantic heroines I've seen. She is sharp, witty and has just enough edge to make her real. Sam is the perfect counterpart to Desdemona. He is brilliant yet so unsure of himself. He needs love and it is touching to watch Desdemona take him in and teach him about real trust and the true meaning of love and family. He also has the most irresistible tendency to just blurt out exactly what he's thinking. His forthrightness is sexy and refreshing. These two have such explosive chemistry and such witty banter that the pages fly by and soon you're at the end of the book before you've even realized it has begun. Not only are the main characters remarkable, the secondary characters are great! Desdemona's family -- theater people who are all named after characters in Shakespeare's plays -- are hilarious, charming and endearing. Also, Sam's brothers are cute and early on give you insight to the underlying aspects of Sam's personality. There is a mystery that comes into play mid-way through the book that drives the plot and expounds upon Desdemona's and Sam's relationship. More than anything though, the driving force of this book is the romance between Desdemona and Sam. Their's is a tender, turbulent love that warms the heart. _Trust Me_, my first by Jayne Ann Krentz, will certainly not be my last. It is evident that under whatever pseudonym, Krentz or Quick, this lady has talent. I highly recommend this to anyone that has enjoyed work by Amanda Quick or to anyone who is looking for a fresh, enjoyable contemporary romance with memorable characters and a romance that is outstanding!

Rating: Summary: Nice to see a 'nerd' hero Review: Being in engineering, I know lots of characters like Sam. He's actually pretty realistic - maybe too much so. I found myself cringing at some of his remarks - possibly because I've heard so many similar ones. I like the fact that he was actually trained in his field and worked in in for some time before making his fortune (what does JAK have against educated men anyway? Ever notice how many of her heros have little or no formal education, and how many of her unpleasant characters have PhDs?). The only unrealistic touch - women like the heroine rarely can overlook their total lack of social skills, let alone consider it part of the charm. Which is really a shame in many ways.. nerds make good husbands!
Rating: Summary: One of my favourite JAKs!! Review: Desdemona Wainwright was born in a theatrical family, the only member that is NOT in any way blessed with acting talent. So she turns her attention to catering. She is quite successful, which is a blessing to her theatrical family, because they always have a job between roles. Her current catering assignment was for the wedding of Sam Stark. Only, the bride has decamped, leaving Sam at the alter and Desdemona with two expensive ice swans that were melting, fifty pounds of tortellini salad, two hundred miniature asparagus tarts, and three platter of goatshead cheese, and she was going to get her bill collected no matter what. What she ends up collection is Sam. At first, she feels sorry for the man, after all his fiancé dumped in just before the big fancy wedding, so she takes him to the caters to feed him. She think he is much too calm about being dumped, afraid he is in shock. He explains the marriage was viewed as a business deal. His fiancé was beautiful, a good hostess, and 'so perfect, so reasonable'. As Sam sees it, he needed a woman who could play hostess for his huge business dinners. When he considers matters, he sees Desdemona as the solution. She is a cater, she can plan huge receptions with an ease. So he hires her, and naturally romance follows. Desdemona thinks Sam is too alone in the world, so she involves him with her fruitcake, thespian family...to teach Sam to feel with his heart, instead of think with his computer brain. She views Sam as a medieval Knight physically, but too analytical. But she is blessed with his Knight side when someone began to menace her and threaten to kill her. Sam is a man I would marry in a heartbeat!! This is JAK at peak form!! She does not get any better!!!
Rating: Summary: I loved it! You must read this book! Review: I feel so sorry for Sam Stark. he realized that he's lonely, but he has dismal social skills! Hoepfully,he'll learn from the beautiful and brainy Desdmona how to gain those skills,as well as some respect for himself and women in general.
Rating: Summary: She's the best! Review: I have read all of her books and belive me this is one of her best.
Still waiting for the next one.
Rating: Summary: A 5 time Read Review: I have read this book 5 times. Whenever I run out of books to read I pick it up again. I enjoyed all of the caracters and moving plots. Best J.A.K book I have ever read. A must read.
Rating: Summary: My favorite Jayne Ann Krentz novel! Review: I love this book. Once again Krentz shows that love comes unexpectly. The family adds lively supporting characters. I also agree that the audio tapes leaves out some of the best scenes; read the book. It's a keeper!
Rating: Summary: It's a fabulous book. Review: I loved Sam right away. The book was funny, memorable, and definitely worth reading.
Rating: Summary: Probably her best work Review: It seems ever since this novel JAK's work has become rather canned - but this book can be read again and again. It's always good for a chuckle. The characters have actual personalities and the plot isn't that contrived. I mean, it's still a romance novel, you know what's going to happen before it does, but JAK plays the form with style. Read this one, but skip her newer novels (Sharp Edges, Deep Water, Flash, etc.).
