Summary: My first Max Brand ..A terrific listen!
Review: I'm a big fan of Longarm and The Trailsman series. Although not keen about "books on tape";I came across this one recently and thought I'd give it a try.So I got out a cold drink,sat out on my porch and settled back to enjoy life in the Old West.I thoroughly enjoyed this western.It was a good story,well narrated and lasted for 2 hours and 14 minutes.This was written by Fredrick Faust,who wrote under the byline Max Brand,a literary man who loved Homer and Shakespeare.Many of his stories were written around the turn of the century,this one in1920;and are considered classics of Western writing.Personally I prefer this writing to Homer and Shakespeare.Little wonder I did not develop a love for reading in school;but much later in life, when I read what I wanted to read ,not something imposed on me.
