Rating: Summary: The most refreshing book I've ever read! Review: This book shines through the many volumes of text I've read in my life. No book has ever made me laugh and smile the way this did. Faced with many difficult situations in her young life, the straight shooting Daisy Fay possesses an inner strength that enables her to come out a winner. How could one not love such an innocent yet an insightful young woman? Kudos to Ms. Flagg for not giving us another typical victim of circumstance that cannot figure out how to pull herself up by her bootstraps!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful, entertaining and thought-provoking. Review: This is a great book about America as it used to be. I recommend it for all.
Rating: Summary: Read it twice!!! Review: This book was so well writen that I felt that I could have been in her place a countless # of times. The little incidents all add up to make this my all-time fav. book!
Rating: Summary: The funniest book in the world! Review: This is without a doubt the funniest book I have ever read! Definitely one of my favorite books of all time. I reread it whenever I need a good laugh or when in between new books. I am so glad so many other readers appreciate it as much as I do! Fannie Flagg is truly a gifted writer!! I can't say enough good things about this book, you must read it immediately!!!
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: I just finished reading this book and I loved it.It takes you on a wild ride of emotions and if your from the south, you just might see a little of yourself in her.
Rating: Summary: Daisy Fay is the absolute best book I have ever read! Review: I have bought countless copies of this book, not just as gifts but also for me. I have loaned my copies to friends who then loan them to friends and so on, which is just fine with me. I am now buying another copy for my 15 year old daughter because my 19 year old loaned her (2nd) copy to a friend who loaned it to a friend...A wonderful rainy day book!
Rating: Summary: Very entertaining. I only put it down once. Review: Daisy is quite a gal. She will make you laugh and make you cry. I liked it better than "Fried Green Tomatoes". If you need a good laugh, give Daisy a try.
Rating: Summary: You'll want to keep reading it, even after you're done Review: "Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man" has got the be one of the best books I have ever read. I just picked it up one day and I could not put it down until I finished, which happened to be the following day. I laughed so hard, I cried. It's a great book for all ages and reading levels.
Rating: Summary: one of the funniest books I've ever read! Review: I think this is the best of Flagg's books- really funny and very good reading. Take it on vacation and just enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: Laugh Out Loud Funny! Review: I'm glad that others have finally found this gem of a book. I read it twelve years ago, when it was called "Coming Attractions" and living a desperate existence as an out-of-print reject in the back of the secondhand store. After "Fried Green Tomatoes," this hilarious book experienced a rebirth, as it should. Flagg's vivid descriptions of 1950's Mississippi add a lot to the story. The goofy antics of Daisy Fay Harper kept me laughing from the start, and I laughed out loud (not something I generally do when reading). Best of all: it's easy to read in chunks if you have a busy schedule. But my guess is that you'll be hooked and not be able to put it down. Enjoy it!
