Summary: Gasp-For-Air Funny
Review: This is one of my all-time favorite books by my all-time favorite author Fannie Flagg.
If you enjoyed Fried Green Tomatoes and are looking for something that is just as wonderful, but not as heart-wrenching-
Daisy Faye is for you. I remember reading this as a teenager and passing it to my mother saying, "Read this part!" It was a
scream...
I can't say this enough...
This book is not only for women, it is for everyone.
Hooray for Fannie!

Summary: snore, snore
Review: This book was picked by a discussion group and I had to make myself finish it. There were one or two funnyish bits, but not enough to keep it going. The whiney, self-dramatic parts were too long. The main character, who starts out fairly young adolescent-aged in the beginning shows no signs of maturation as the book drags on. Definitely not up to the standards of "Fried Green Tomatoes".

Summary: A Young Girl's Coming of Age in Diary Form-Very Funny Book!
Review: Fannie Flagg takes us on a journey to a South that only Southerners know, to a time when 'Blue Velvet' was played at the Senior Prom, and into the life of Daisy Fay Harper, a sassy truth telling heroine who just can't stay out of trouble. Daisy Fay tells us everything from what (or who), made her Mom and Dad split up to what is really stashed in the freezer of her family's malt shop.

Daisy Fay is coming of age in the Gulf Coast's Shell Beach, which is the End of the Road of the South. The folks who head for Florida haven't discovered it yet, but it's a dandy place to meet local VIPs like hard-drinking Jimmy Snow. Mrs Dot, is trying to hold Jr. Debutante meetings in the back of the Bait Shop; and Daisy's own alcoholic daddy, has to come up with a mortgage scheme in which is daughter has to return from the dead in a carefully orchestrated miracle.

This is a very FUNNY book at times and made me laugh really hard in certain places!

Summary: Delightfully entertaining!
Review: After reading mainly mysteries and thrillers, I thought I would give myself a break and picked up Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man. I have giggled and thoroughly enjoyed myself throughout the entire book. What a pleasure to read. I am now a fan of Fannie Flagg and am looking forward to reading another of her books. I hope there will be more coming.

Summary: Old style laughs with big heart
Review: This book not only brought me back to the times of my parents' generation, but it made me laugh! Alot! Fannie Flagg has a way with telling a story that brings such familiarity and warmth to the characters you'd swear they were related to you.

Summary: Through the Wisdom of a Child....
Review: Daisy Fay is a brilliant, sensitive child dealing with dysfunctional parents. Dad is an alcoholic, and Mom is the woman who loves him, but who is losing faith in all the big plans he's made, the life they've shared...everything but the desperate love they share for this delightful child.Daisy Fay survives through sheer toughness. She also sees life through her own rose-colored glasses. She has an innate sense of humor, wit, and a deep tenderness and love for all people. I adored her from Page 1! Hers is a story of overcoming tremendous obstacles in life by utilizing the power of love, humor, persistence, and human kindness. Although there is pathos, this definitely is a feel-good story about a tremendously-inspiring little girl with a lot of heart.

Summary: Laugh Out Loud
