Rating: Summary: It's all in how the shirt is made. Review: BLUE COLLAR BLUES had a lot of interesting moments, however, because of the technical aspects of the automobile industry, it slowed me down. The characters were slightly one-dimensional and there were moments where it seemed like I was reading a dime-store romance novel, due to the dialogue between certain characters. It also seemed to have spasms of time displacement. Certain pivotal scenes took place between chapters (sometimes between paragraphs) that the author had to inform the reader about because it wasn't inserted within the the story. It was a little like QUANTUM LEAP. Although this novel didn't affect me like ONE BETTER, it still had enough to offer.

Rating: Summary: A great story! Review: Enjoyed this book! It was nicely done. But, the ending blew me away! Hollywood should option this one for the big screen.
Rating: Summary: A good read! Review: I enjoyed reading Blue Collar Blues. Although I first thought that I would be bored to death. I mistakenly thought the book waws about the automaobileindustry. But the book was much more than that. Ms. McMillan was able to make you interested in the people that build our cars. I felt that the book was well written. On to the characters. I did not like Sydney. She was crazy. I kept wondering when Thyme was going to kick her butt. And Khan, I am glad that she let go of RC. There are a lot of people like her in the world. Louella was a fool and so was Tino and his father. I also read One Better and am happy to say that Ms. McMillan has not lost her gift for writing. I am eagerly looking forward to the next book.
Rating: Summary: Reformed none reader. Review: I have never read a book in its entirity--- until know. When I found out about her sibling I thought she may not measure up, but this book raised a curiosity about her sisters writings--- I like both. I work in the auto industry, and a lot of her plot twist mirror the situation we are in now. Very good book, waiting for next project. Ms. McMillan, if you are looking for subjects, I have a few?
Rating: Summary: LOVED IT!!!!!! Review: I have read all of Ms. Roz's books and they have touched me in many ways, my personal favorite is ONE BETTER but this one came very, very close. On the humbug why must so many of the women in the book be victims? I Know, I know that in the end things work out for most of them but what about Luella she was a confused whore, and in the end was raped and murderd what kind of @#!* was that????? Did i miss something or was she the only women in the book who had a husband that really loved and cherished her, great children and a marraige that stood the test of time, in my opinion! I wanted to slap Tyme for being such an Aunt Jemimah she made me sick, blind Heffer but in the end i said you GO GIRL! Kahn what can be said about Khan i loved her from begining to end and last but not least Tomiko should have went back to Japan or Africa somewhere anywhere but the hell away from R.C Richardson dont ya think? Whats next Roz i cant wait!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: It was okay.... Review: I have read all of Rosalyn McMillan's books and this one was my least favorite. I personally had a hard time getting into this story. I don't know if it was the setting of the book (Champion Motors which is an automobile factory) or if I just wasn't that interested in the characters, but this book was a struggle for me to read. In fact, I considered, SEVERAL TIMES, putting it down although I really don't like starting a book and not finishing it. With that said, after I got a little further than halfway through the book, the story did pick up and it made up for the boring first half of the book somewhat.

Rating: Summary: A good read for the hot summer days Review: I have read all of Rosalyn McMillan's books, this being the most interesting of them all. It was an easy read, but sometimes the plot just seemed to drag on and on. Still, I finished it fairly fast. I am looking forward to the next one.
Rating: Summary: A Disappointing Read Review: I have read all of Rosalyn McMillans books and this the most disappointing. I struggled with the characters, not being able to sympathize with any of them. I thought at first Thyme would be the one to bring everything together but her relationship with her husband and her struggle with her career was just not well developed. The other chacters were even less interesting and added nothing to an already weak plot. I was really disapointed with the story flow. There was NONE. Just a series of incidents. I'm just glad I did not buy it and got it from the library. This is not a work to add to your collection.
