Rating: Summary: ... Review: I loved this book. I read it long ago but forgot the title until now. I love sexy romance and I love it when they deal different cultures. Like my newest favorite "Anything, My Love" by Cynthia Simmons. A sizzling page turner with a hero to die for.
Rating: Summary: typical and tiring Review: If i was an Native american I would gag over this book and allothers just like it. The same old tired out formula.Indian hero fallsfor a white woman. How about an exciting book about 2 Native American lovers. I look and look. Are there any Native American writers out there who could accomplish such a task? END
Rating: Summary: Stick with it Review: If you can get through the first hundred pages of really bad writing, I think you'll enjoy this book. I agree with a previous reviewer that it takes quite a leap to believe a woman of 'good' breeding would behave as Blaze does, but if one chalks it up to the folly of the first 6 chapters, one can get over it. Eventually BLAZE setled down into a good read with a sensible plot, villainous villain, heroic hero and a really enjoyable romance. Ms. Johnson has the ability to write sizzling sex, but oddly the most passionate scenes in this book happened when the h & h were angry with each other or when there was very little emotional commitment. If I was recommending this book to a friend I'd say skim the first 75 pages until Blaze agrees to negotiate with Hazard and then settle in for the read. It's worth it.
Rating: Summary: No cultured woman would act that way! Review: The author had a good story outline, but added some very sloppy scenes that should have been crafted to enhance the story. Our heroine, being very sophisticated, would never have been so submissive right off the bat. The couple's first "encounter" almost made me throw the tape away. And it got worse. Her captivity in the cabin was not at all real, not for the sophisticated upbringing she supposedly had, and not for the fiery rebel she was supposed to be. How stupid and submissive the author made her out to be. Nope, didn't buy it. What a shame to ruin such an interesting story line.
Rating: Summary: WONDERFUL BOOK!!!!!! Review: This book is one of the best books I have read in a long time. When you start the book it is a little hard to get into but once you get past the first3 chapters you will not be able to put it down. This was my first SJ book and I know it will not be my last. If you have not read this book you need to run out and get it fast.
Rating: Summary: Blaze Review: This is a very romantic love story. It is also a good historical read. I will read it again.

Rating: Summary: One Hot Read Review: This is my first Susan Johnson book and it definitely won't be my last. I am a great fan of books where the heroine is not some faint hearted girl who allows the hero to drag her through life and this book delivers that. Susan Johnson's words are so powerful and evocative you feel as if you are standing there watching as the story unfolds. I cannot wait to read more of her novels.
Rating: Summary: CAPTIVATING Review: This is one of the most romantic books that I have ever read! I read BRAZEN first, not realizing that it was a series. I loved BRAZEN and had to find out more about this stimulating family. I love the way S. Johnson explains all the historical things and it makes you wish you could be exported back in time to experience first hand. I read these stories for the wonderful fantasy not for real life. I was always under the impression that these stories are to help you escape your life for a time and dream of living in the story yourself. Give in to the delicious fantasy and don't analyze. This is a wonderful story and I know anyone with a wisp of romance in there heart will love it, too. (Along with all the other S.Johnson stories)
Rating: Summary: Almost perfect, but not quite. Review: This was a fabulous story, but it did have its faults. First of all, this was my first Susan Johnson book and I had heard she was similar to Robin Schone in regards to hot sex scenes. Well, I was VERY disappointed in that regard. The sex scenes were typical of a romance novel and there was nothing hot or particularly sexy about them. There is a part in the story where Blaze and Hazard have been apart and a terrible misunderstanding has occurred between them. They finally end up in bed together and the sex just falls flat. It could have been an incredibly moving, sensual experience, but it really fizzled instead. Another problem I had was the failure of the main characters to resolve misunderstandings. They have a HUGE one where Hazard actually thinks Blaze betrayed him and tried to have him killed. Instead of talking it through, they ignore it. Hazard finally realizes (I'm assuming) that Blaze was innocent, but there is no verbal communication about it. I mean, if I thought somone was trying to kill me, I would want some clarification from them before I had sex with them and built a life with them! :) Despite this shortcomings, this was a great book. It was great writing and an interesting story. I am looking forward to reading the next in this series, "The Silver Flame."
