The tips are very creative and work well for a slob like myself. The book is easily organized to help you find topics at a glance.

I now go straight for this book when I am faced with a cleaning challenge. Her trick to cleaning shower curtains worked perfectly!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: WONDERFUL!!!! Review: My house is a mess! One day I was watching Regis Live and she was a guest. She had so many solutions to everyday messes. So, I went on to amazon and bought her book. It has been wonderful. I think that every person should have this book. You can't live with out it. It is absolutely incredible. You will be amazed by the products you use to clean up little scratch marks, or the scum on your tiles in the bathroom, or how to get those nasty little hairballs off of things. If you think your house is clean, you better think twice, cause it probably isn't. I recommend this book to everyone.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Finally, a book I have bought and read numerous times! Review: I first heard of this book on Oprah and I considered it fate. I work 9-5 and never catch Oprah's show, but I was home sick that day. On the show, Linda Cobb had the most amazing remedies for cleaning and the book was so inexpensive that I figured I couldn't lose. The book is filled with many useful tips and I have referred to the book often. My only disappointment with the book is that I wished it had more laundry tips...but she has another book out now that fills that void. This book is a must have...even if you only need to use it once to clean an emergency spill.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: No index with audio CD Review: There is a lot of useful information in this book, especially if you prefer environmentally safe cleaning products. My only beef is that the CD does not have an index! There are about 40 tracks on the CD, but in order to find the segment about removing mildew, I had to scroll through, track by track! Not fun.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Life Saver Review: I am not a fan of housework, but this book made a lot of my home chores a breeze. I took the book to my Moms group and we demonstrated a lot of the tips in it and found that they really REALLY work! It is also a pocketsaver to know that you don't have to rely on 10 different household products to get a few jobs done around the house. Thanks Linda Cobb!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Disjointed, superficial, annoying Review: If you want a list of "cute" ways to try removing stains (the only suggested method my chemist husbands thinks may risk serious damage is soaking your plumbing in vinegar for hours---if it's white metal, that is), well, sure. But there's so much more to keeping clean than that! No advice on how to avoid serious staining in the first place, no advice on long-term steady maintenance, very little advice on materials found in older houses, and way too much Tang and used dryer sheets. What I missed most, though, were coherent explanations of how or why these methods were supposed to work. A very TV-style book, with a very TV level of discourse and organization. The Queen should stick to talk shows. (And you should buy Cheryl Mendelson's _Home_Comforts_ instead.)
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great for the bachelor or bachelorette (and others) Review: The author's books are both amazing. In basic and easy-to-read fashion she tells you all of the tips that we're too embarassed to ask even our closest friends about. Well, if we didn't ask in the past, it meant creating new and interesting stories to explain our messes. Now we don't have to do so anymore. This book is a pleasure to read and a good reference too. Given the price I think everyone can afford to give this book and her first book a try. And for parents sending their children off to college - consider this as a gift! It will make your children VERY popular with their roommates and friends!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Clean inspiration - but translate for non-Americans! Review: Real inspiration for people unenthusiastic about using harsh chemicals around the home. Dozens of easy and memorable tips on things like sterilising your dishcloths, and de-odourising 'fridges. I'll add one of my own for avid tea-drinkers: the white vinegar is also great for getting rid of tannin stains on mugs, stainless steel sinks and teapots. But please can someone translate for a UK reader - what *is* Linda's essential ingredient, "club soda"?
