Sober and Staying That Way: The Missing Link in the Cure for Alcoholism

Summary: She is on the right track, but falls way short!
Review: Written as if we were in a women's group therapy session, this book is overly long and could be condensed into 50 pages or less rather than the rambling, conversational prose complete with broken sentences and "women power" grammar. Few persons could possibly have an interest in her long-winded antidotes about women support groups, her brother in recovery or any number of other page wasting stories.

Although this book correctly highlights the physiological correlations in alcoholics/addicts, it fails to offer substance in the way of solid dietary or nutritional plans (keep the hokey recipes for your girlfriends), which is what I bought the book for in the first place, thus neither helping one get sober or staying that way as the title implies.

Basically all the material is work from other qualified authors. Sorry Susan, I expected a little more. Now I will simply have to purchase a qualified book from a legitimate author.
