Summary: The Magic of You
Review: I have to say that I really enjoyed this book. Usually it's the man who is shown pursuing while the female resists. I LOVED that Amy knew what she wanted and went after him. I thought it was great. I wish more books were written showing an aggressive woman in pursuit of a man. Girl Power!

Summary: Good story but audio reader's lack of accents distracting!
Review: I listened to the audio recording of The Magic of You and though the story itself seemed interesting the reader because of her lack of English accents and not bothering to make her voice sound different for each character was annoying and distracting, it was fine for Warren, his sister Georgina and their brothers to have American accents but Amy and the rest of the Malory's should have had English acccents! The Magic of You it is about a flirty and kind of ditzy young lady named Amy Malory a niece of the Malory brothers who falls for an older American man, Warren Anderson brother of Georgina who is married to James Malory who is not to happy about young Amy's infatuation with Warren and when both Amy and Warren disappear he immediately assumes that Warren abducted Amy and sets to go after them but unknown to him Amy and Warren have actually been kidnapped by a ruthless enemy of Warren. I rated this a 2 only because of the reader's lack of proper accents and different voice sounds and if they had been used I could easily have given the audio version 4 stars. The audio cassette is abridged and I hope they rerecord it unabridged and with the proper accents and changes of voice sounds!

Summary: Love those Malory's
Review: I love those Malory's, I can never get enough of them. And it's great that this family remains true to form, male and female both. I hope this family's saga continues to go on. With characters like Tony, James, Regina (Reggie and/or Regan), Derek, Jeremy (his story should be next) and all the rest of the clan there's much to write about. Amy she's got spunk, like the rest of the family and how she ever fell for Warren is beyond me. He's not the best hero, but she changed him a lot. Although James & Tony remain my favorite characters.

Summary: Amy and Warren!!!
Review: I loved this book. I've read all other Malory novels and this one is by far the best one. Amy is NOT spoiled she just went for what she wanted which is to be admired. Warren wasn't the best of heroes but....oh well..... personally i love James!! Anyhow "The Magic of You" is my fave romance novel so far and strongly recomend it.

Summary: Amy Mallory is Kinda Skanky!
Review: I read the "The Magic of You" in two days, it was so delightful. The fourth book in the Malory series, "Magic" revolves around 18-year old Amy Malory pursuing - and seducing - her unwilling groom-to-be, hotheaded, coldhearted Warren Anderson. Amy is definitely a Malory: she's bold, witty, and determined to get what she wants, even if the object of her affection absolutely refuses to fall for her (didn't those rakes, Anthony and James, as well as impish Regina, have the same problem?). Warren is an explosive man who is nursing a bitter resentment against marriage and the woman who played him false, forcing Amy to try anything and everything to melt his heart. It's hysterical to see how far she goes.

I enjoyed reading "Magic"; it had great Malory banter and brilliant family scenes, such as the whole family's reaction as Warren's sister Georgina gives birth. There were, however, a couple reasons I gave this book a 4 instead of 5. For one, a few of the Malorys I'd have liked to seen more of, like Regina, Nick, and Roslynn, barely made appearances. Of course, this is not a serious complaint, since this isn't their book, and I can read "Love Only Once" or "Tender Rebel" ay time I want to satisfy that desire. A real complaint, though, was the whole kidnapping thing. It really didn't add much to the story other than to get Amy and Warren in bed together (which occurs, finally, more than 300 pages into the book). The threat to their lives was an afterthought in relation to their rocky courtship. In addition, I thought referring to the Chinese as "Oriental" was rude, especially since the book was published in 1993 (and, honestly, I don't care if people actually said that word in the 1800s, because I can point out the English and American jargon, etc. used in this book aren't exactly accurate either). I also didn't like Taishi's silly broken English, which while I'm sure many people thought amusing, I thought in poor taste. Anyway, I hate to sound so PC, but that did bug me as I read it.

So that's my assessment of "The Magic of You," a vastly entertaining novel (with a few flaws) about two extremely stubborn people caught in the pursuit of love. To better enjoy this novel, I'd recommend reading the 3 that came before it ("Love Only Once," "Tender Rebel," and "Gentle Rogue") to really appreciate the characters and back-story.

Summary: This story is Magic!
Review: I'm pathetic. I read this book in 2 days then read it again the next 2 days! I had to re-read it because the story just capitvated me. I read the previous book "Gentle Rogue" (which I loved) and immediately sought out the seguel THE MAGIC OF YOU. Amy is 17-18 years YOUNGER than Warren! What??! Scandalous, indeed! And she was only 17 when she set her cap for him!!! I needed to fan myself down from this delightful scandal. She preyed him down like a hunter. I love the fact that Warren denied her so many times even though he wanted to pounce on her. He kept himself in check. My favorite part was when they were sitting around the dinner table and Jeremy blabbed out "Good God not him!". I peed on myself. I blushed like crazy.

Summary: Another Smash Hit
Review: In this book Johanna Lindsey continues with her women being outspoken, and her men being formiddable. Warren is a cold and unfeeling man except when Meghans back is turned. Megan is always one step away from just stripping naked and telling him to take her. Although the heroine in this book appears to be a little over board half the time she creates the most romantic of situations. Warren however will do anything he can to keep her from unfreezing his bitterly cold heart. The only way it unfreezes is by him loosing her love. Then he knows how cold life can be with out her.

Summary: AWESOME
Review: Now, there are heroines and then there are HEROINES, and Ms. Lindsey creates one of the best in Amy. She is irresistible except perhaps to the man she is determined to marry. This is one of those page-turning stories that you cannot put down, made even more lively by the roles played by her delightful uncles, Tony and James. Frankly, I did not think five stars was high enough as a scale to rate this fabulous book.

Summary: Hero is Okay but Heroine is just plain Bonkers!
Review: The Magic Of You was somewhat enjoyable, I liked Warren and most of the Malory characters but I was disappointed with Amy she came across as not only being a spoiled selfish immature brat but she was also just too needy and and kind of a wacko, and if Warren came across to some as being a major grouch he certainly had the right to be with his having to deal with Amy's obnoxious behavior, and if Amy hadn't been so annoying I probably would have given the book a 5. Ok, I do like a strong independent heroine who is not afraid to be the pursuer in the relationship but a woman can be strong and independent and be the one who pursues the guy without comng across as being desperate and I didn't find Amy to be a strong woman but more like a bratty child and the thing with Warren was more like an obsession than love and I found her to be a little pathetic and it's a good thing that Amy is only a fictional character.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Stubborn Amy & Warren
Review: This 4th book in the Malory's series is perhaps the worst book in the series. Both characters (the hero and heroine) are stubborn and selfish. For me, Amy and Warren do not fit the criteria of becoming lovers in the book. The love between them looks forced and sometimes jerky. The book have lots of holes in its plot.

I would not recommend it as a good buy. Consider it as a waste of money.
