Rating: Summary: Prayers Of Average People Thwart Evil From The Adversary Review: Robert Whitlow takes the reader through a meaningful spiritual journey underscored by the power of prayer from seemingly insignificant people. Through the prayer experience of a school janitor and students in a high school we see the masterful work of the Holy Spirit, and readers experience how prayer can change the course of people's lives and thwart evil. This book goes to the heart of the school violence problem in America and in the world at large and reveals the true solution to a problem that could destroy the fabric of the educational system in this country.
Rating: Summary: "The Sacrifice", best book of the year. Review: Robert Whitlow's newest novel, "The Sacrifice", is the best of his three novels. His previous works, "The List" and "The Trial". were excellent books, but "The Sacrifice" is by far the most exciting. The writing is fluid, the story is captivating and the ending is gripping. I think "The Sacrifice" should be required reading for every pastor, teacher, parent, grandparent and teen. The book kept my attention and I could not put it down, reading it in one sitting. I intend to read it again and again.

Rating: Summary: This lawyers story is perfection Review: The Sacrifice by Robert Whitlow The Sacrifice is a masterpiece of suspense, mystery and romance. Every detail of this lawyer's story is perfection. Mr. Whitlow shows that no one is beyond reach. Even the most down-and-out hope for second chances and some are willing to give the ultimate sacrifice to give them their second chance. If you like Grisham, you'll love Whitlow. -Traci DePree, author of A Can of Peas
Rating: Summary: Another inspiring story by Robert Whitlow Review: The Sacrifice is another inspiring story by Robert Whitlow. Robert has a way of weaving a wonderful story with an inspiring message. The book arrived on Thursday and was finished on Saturday.I find the character development to be solid, the interweaving of subplots fascinating and the message clear and uplifting to the heart and soul. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.
Rating: Summary: Somewhere Between Grisham and Peretti Review: The Sacrifice should be read by every educator, student and parent. The issue of violence in our schools is unfortunately not a dead issue, as the shootings in Germany demonstrated. Whitlow gives us some answers. I highly recommend this newest book, as well as his other two, The List and The Trial.
Rating: Summary: Could have been better Review: The Sacrifice was the first book by Robert Whitlow I've read. I don't normally read Christian fiction, and this book lived up to my expectations. It had the potential to be a great work, but I feel that Whitlow was hindered because of the whole Christian publishing machine, where very few perish and most end up redeemed by the last page. I wish real life were like that. The author accurately describes life in a small Southern town, and he gets kudos for exploring the Christian taboo subjects of dating and divorce. The characters are fairly believeable, but I would have enjoyed discovering more about the first sacrifice in Scott's life than the intricacies of the arm rowing machine. I just wish Christian writers felt free to accurately portray real life. Until they do, I'll stay out of the Christian fiction secton.

Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: This was my first ever Whitlow read. This is what hooked me to reading his books. From the prologue to the very end, this was a book that I couldn't put down. Being a Christian, I found this thriller very inspirational, and that's what has kept me reading Robert Whitlow to this day.It really pumped me up to read about a character such as Scott Ellis, who stands up for what he believes in immensely. When I first read about Tao Pang, I didn't realize what a role he would play in this book. I also found it fascinating how Scott was asked to be the head of a mock trial team at a local high school. This book is typical Whitlow where he gently weaved in and out and then exploded at the right moment. Great work!
Rating: Summary: High expectations DASHED Review: This was my first Whitlow read and I expected a lot more after hearing about his THE LIST & THE TRIAL. Possibly this too could have been a good 200 page book but I felt like the contract called for 400 pages and I had to suffer through all the detail of EVERY scene and character. Ultimately the ending was more than predictable and my two stars are for the story line because I basically enjoyed a few twists.
